"LOGAN!" I squeak, as I swam up to him.

"What is it?" He asked in his usual annoyed tone.

"I saw a-a creature!" I can recall it vividly from memory. "Okay, so?-"

"IT HAD NO FINS! OR TAILS! OR GILLS!"

"What?!" His expression changed entirely..

"Virgil come on! I have to show you this!" Patton dragged me to the beach.

"Nuh uh. No way. Nada." I shook my head. "But it's magicalll-"

"Magic you say?" Now I was intrigued. "Yeah! Follow me!"

He rushed off and I followed after him. He stopped at the entrance to a cave.

"Come on!" He rushed inside. It was to dark, he just disappeared after he went in. "Patton!" I reached into the darkness.

My foot caught on something and I fell. The next thing I know I see black.

There was a splash! And shortly after another splash! I swam near the surface water, looking around for anything.

My eyes landed on a boy. He was like the creature I was talking about! Oh no! He isn't breathing!

I grabbed him by the arms and pulled him out of the water and onto a rock.

Logan came up shortly after I had and placed another one of those creatures on the rock.

"What are they Lo?" I whispered, afraid to wake them.

"I believe mer-folk call them, "humans." So I can only assume that they are humans." He adjusted his glasses.

"Humans are strange.." I hummed.

I woke up to squeaking noises. My head was hurting, but I still sat up.

I looked around for where the noise came from, but there was nothing.

Then there was a noise. "Nng.." Patton sat up and clutched his head. "I think I hit the rock..."

"Me to. I could've sworn I heard squeaking noises." I looked around again, but this time, I locked eyes with someone just above the water. They quickly swam away though.

"Wait come back!" I jumped up, looking around for the person.

"Virgil are you okay?"

"Someone... no, something is here." I turned to him.

"And I'm going to figure out who."

They were awake! I wanted to figure them out. I wanted to know more.

"Roman no!" Logan warned, but I just poked out so my eyes were above the water. Me and the boy locked eyes for a good miute.

He had bangs over his eyes with a slight curl. They were a chocolate brown with purple tips. His eyes were a bright purple, and he had a playful smirk on his lips.

I felt my face heating up so I swam away. "Wait come back!" The creature yelled. I looked behind me one more time. "It's for the best."

"It's for the best." The creature said. "Wait!" I tried to grab onto it. I did! "LET ME GO!" It squeaked, thrashing around.

"Calm down! I'm not going to hurt you..." I hummed a tune in hopes they'll calm down.
