Every day since then Virgil and Patton would visit. Slowly but surely Patton and Logan became a thing.

Then the day happened. Virgil brought someone else with him that day.

"Roman this is Picani. My boyfriend." Picani waved hello.

"What's a boyfriend?" I asked, curious.

"It's someone you love very much. So you decide to be in an relationship with them." I felt my whole world crashing down.

That's why that rule was created. That's why we were never able to talk to them. Because they're all no good liars!

"It's nice to meet you!" I put on a fake smile. "I have to go. Bye." With that, I left. Not bothering with the protests from... him and Picani.

"Oh! Roman, are they here?" Logan asked, a lovesick expression on his face.

"No, Patton wasn't there. Probably off breaking your heart as well!" I couldn't stop the tears that were flowing down my face now.

"Roman what-?"

"A year! Logan! A year! He has toyed with my emotions for a year! He doesn't love me!" Logan wrapped his arms around me as I sobbed.

"Did he say this to you directly?"

"N-No... but he brought his boyfriend..."

"What's a boyfriend?"

"Someone who you love very much and want to be in a relationship with." I say with a sigh.

Logan looks mortified. "We have to report to the castle. They have to know. We have to seal the entrance."

I nod. "I'll go make sure they leave. You can go report to the castle."

"Roman?..." He placed an hand on my shoulder. "Stay safe." He swam off. I swam up to the surface and I saw them kissing.

I coughed and they pulled away, startled. I rolled my eyes and crossed my hands over my chest. "I don't mean to be mean but you two need to leave. There's something going on over here and I wouldn't want to be the cause of your guy's deaths."

"Okay. Bye Roman!" Virgil leans in for a hug. I push him away from me. He looks shocked. "Don't act like you don't know, you heartless lying monster." I hissed at him.

"Roman.. I-"

"You two should get going. It's happening very soon."

"Let's leave Babe. They clearly don't want us here."

"Yeah. I mean, who would want someone who played with their emotions FOR A YEAR to be in the same room as them? Tch. I think not." I glared at Virgil.

"I can explain!" Virgil started.

"Babe, what do you mean?!" Picani shook Virgil.

"No, later. We need to leave." Virgil took one last glance at me, before leaving. And never looking back.
