Chapter 4

Ruby's POV:

It's been a while since sleep felt this amazing and whatever I am laying on is very warm and soft. I open my eyes to see that I was laying on top of Alpha Lune, I slowly tried to pull myself off her, but her grip got tighter around me. This is going to be harder than I thought.

"Our mate is so beautiful, I love her already,"  Lou said.

"Yeah, but you're forgetting one thing, I'm not gay."

"There is nothing wrong with loving a woman, and the moon goddess put us with her for a reason."

She's right, there is nothing wrong with loving a woman, but I still need some time getting used to the fact that my mate is a woman, goddess her scent smells so good. After I had taken in her scent my body started to relax a little more. It's amazing how just the scent of your mate could make you calm and relax.

"Where are you trying to get to this early in the morning." I heard Alpha Lune say.

"The bathroom, I really have to go."

Her grip on me loosen and I got off her and headed into the bathroom. Once I got into the bathroom I noticed I didn't use my note pad to talk to her. I finally let her hear my voice for the first time. I guess talking much won't be much trouble, from this day forward I would no longer use my note pad.

I used the bathroom and did my morning routine. I'm glad I went to the store yesterday or I would be walking around with bad breath. After I finish my morning routine I pulled out an extra toothbrush and washcloth.

I left out the bathroom to find Alpha Lune still laying on the couch with her eyes closed. I wonder if being an alpha is tiring. I sat on the floor closer to her head and poked her cheek she opened her eyes and stared at me.

Looking into her eyes I can feel our mate bond growing stronger, I rubbed my thumb across her cheek slow while staring into her eyes.

"Your very beautiful Alpha Lune," I whispered.

"Not as beautiful as you, my love." She whispered back.

My eyes kept going down to her lips and back up to her eyes, I felt myself leaning in more toward her and our lips seconds apart, until her phone starts to ring making me jump back.

I got up and walked into the kitchen and started taking things out for breakfast. Once I had everything out I stop and took some deep breaths to get my heart back to normal.

"I left you a toothbrush and washcloth in the bathroom," I told her.

I didn't hear anything back from her, so I turned around to see her standing right behind me. My heart started going back up and my breathing was getting uneven, what's with this girl and making me have slight heart attacks.

I took a step back and I can see the hurt that's in her eyes from doing that. My heart rate was still not even but I didn't want to hurt her, that look makes everything in me feel broken. I walked over to her and wrapped my arms around her, she wrapped her arms around me as well. I can feel my body starting to relax and my breathing slowing down.

"I'm sorry, I'm just not used to being treated this way by other people other than Dr. Hale and Mary."

I heard her growl at the names I just said, and I giggled. My mate is jealous of my moms, I should mess with her a little and see how far I can get away with it.

"Don't tease our mate like that Ruby,"  Lou said to me.

 "Dr. Hale and Mary are the only people I let get close to me like this, I miss them a lot." Which is very true, but she didn't know that!
