Chapter 12

Ruby's POV:

As we got on the jet it felt like my heart was breaking because I was leaving people behind that I had back in my life again. I didn't want to leave but I knew I had to because I have people waiting back at home for me.

I sat down next to Dawn and laid my head on her shoulder, being close to her makes me feel somewhat better but there is always that one piece that will be missing.

Dawn hugged me closer to her and I let out a purr and I heard Dawn chuckle.

"It's not funny I can't help it," I whine.

"It's okay my love, I love it," she chuckled again which made me get off her and look out the window of the plane,

I heard her whimper from the loss of contact, "okay babe I won't laugh again come back to me," she said while pulling on my arm and I gave in and snuggled closer to her.

It didn't take me long before I went to sleep in my mate's arms. Sleeping in her arms is where I feel safe at.

I slowly open my eyes back up after I felt someone shaking me, "come on love we're here," Dawn said.

I reached my arms up for her to carry me because I am still tired and don't feel like walking. She laughed at me but still picked me up, I wrapped my arms around her neck and went back to sleep.

Not being able to stay sleep because people were talking and being loud, I woke up and looked up at Dawn. Everything about her pulls me in but the one thing I love most about her is her heart.

She opens her heart up to anyone she thinks who needs love in their life and I'm glad I'm able to call her my mate.

"I know you're up and you can walk now," I shook my head and found a way to get on her back.

We weren't that far from the pack house, but we were close to the area that I go to when I want to talk with my mom.

"You see that area over there," I asked her, and she nodded her head.

"Go that way I want to show you something."

She started walking that way and I yelled to her pack and mine to head home and we will be there soon.

After another 5 minutes of walking, we made it to the area I wanted us to be at. I jumped off her back and sat under the tree that my mom first held me at. I closed my eyes and called to her. I can feel Dawn staring at me, but I know she will understand in a few minutes.

"You called my child." I heard her say like always.

I opened my eyes and got off the ground and jumped into her arms wrapping my legs around her.

"I see everything went well with the Dark Night pack." I nodded my head and took in her scent.

"I missed you, mommy."

"I missed you too baby girl."

I looked back to see Dawn on her knees and I laughed at her. I jumped off my mom and walked over to my mate.

"Get up love I want you to meet my mother, well one of them."

Dawn got up and was still looking down, "babe you okay?" I asked her.

"It's rude to look a goddess in the eyes, and this is the moon goddess standing in front of us. I can feel the power coming off her," She whispered to me.

"It's fine babe she won't hurt you, she knows how much you mean to me," I chuckled.

"Mommy this is my mate, my lover, and my soulmate Dawn Lune," I said while lifting Dawn's head up to look at my mother.
