Sordul really wasn't kidding when he said the test would be their hardest.

He found himself in the Nether, on a large obsidian platform, with paths leading to other similar platforms, all made of obsidian.

The teleportation plane lay far ahead. Below the obsidian, was as expected, a sea of lava.

Random lava and waterfalls descended from blocks of netherrack, near the paths and platforms, but it wasn't the worst bit.

The worst bit, was the two creatures flying around the enormous cavern.

One beat its leathery black wings, its bright purple eyes burning with fury while arcing its long neck. Its black scales glinted a shade of purple in the light of the fire and lava, as its roar itself shook the entire cavern.

The other was wingless, composed out of charred bones, with six soulless, menacing white eyes, set upon its three skulls.

"You gotta be kidding me," he muttered.

The rest of the remaining people teleported into the cavern, with Alvin in tow, gaping at the two boss mods.

The Ender Dragon spotted the first guy, and dove, tucking it its gignatic leathery wings. The guy jumped aside as the dragon's claws struck, barely missing him. The reptile roared in fury, as it came for another pass.

The second guy who Steve had saved was having a hard time fighting the Wither, dodging wither bombs while running to different platforms at the same time, almost falling over the edge in a few occasions.

A scream rang out as the dragon blew fire, the violet flames scorching and eating away at the first man's flesh, while he writhed in pain, staggering blindly. And that was when the dragon came in, opening its maw wide, and swallowed him whole!

Snap. The man was gone, disappearing inside the dragon's gullet. Dead.

Steve gulped, and looked at the others, who had worried expressions on their faces as well, they knew they couldn't beat the two mobs alone.

The dragon sniffed, then turned those burning, bright purple eyes on the rest of the students.

Steve found himself almost letting out an undignified whimper. Those eyes seemed to suck the soul out of him, dangerous, predatory, and he knew he was the Ender Dragon's next imminent meal.

The dragon, which was perched on the obsidian path right after devouring the man, pushed off, flapping those gigantic wings, each wingbeat powerful enough to buffet Steve's hair. One of the young women's long hair was whipping around like Medusa's, the colour draining from her face.

It shot forward, its razor sharp claws outstretched, while the students dove out of the way, just as the flying reptile barrled past them, and smashed into the netherrack wall behind them, pulverizing it immediately in a wall of smoke.

The students immediately made for paths and platforms, running for their very lives. The dragon snarled and yanked out its head from the wall of netherrack, its razor sharp claws glinting, as it stretched its wings and took to the air, breathing long tongues of purple flame.

Steve looked behind at the belowing flames, his heartbeat quickening at his impending doom, his breaths came in short, ragged gasps, his bad leg slowing his down, as he raked his head for a solution. There was no way he could make it to the next platform in time, and with a burst of adrenaline, he launched himself straight up using his good leg.

The fire passed below him, his soles grew dangerously hot, singing his trouser legs and the bottoms of his shoes.

"Notch's sakes don't cook me alive!" Zack yelled from in front of him as the purple flames reached him.
