I sit behind the wheel, listening to Jimin fidget in the seat beside me. His fingers nudge against mine, and for the first time, I notice how small they are. Smiling, I curl my palm over his hand, enveloping it completely.

"I think I want to give you a nickname." The dancer says, clicking his tongue decisively.

Ahead of me, the traffic light turns red. I slow down, glancing over at my boyfriend. "You shouldn't bother."

Jimin pouts his lower lip. "Why shouldn't I?"

"Because. Nicknames never seem to stick on me."

"What about babe?" He suggests.

"First of all, you'd be the only one who could call me that, and second of all, absolutely not."

"Why not?" The younger boy asks, widening his eyes imploringly.

"Because." I say. "Everyone calls their significant other 'babe' now. It's practically code for 'mushy and unoriginal'."

Jimin purses his lips, running through a list of pet names. I have to admit, many of them would sound cute on him, but the thought of responding to them myself makes me want to gag.

"This is ridiculous." The dark haired boy sighs, pulling out his phone. After a moment of searching, he clicks on a page labelled '101 best nicknames for your boyfriend'. "You would hate this blog so much," he says after a moment, scanning down the list of words.

"Read me some." I grin, looking back at the road. The stoplight above me turns green, and I accelerate carefully.

"It's all in alphabetical order. So far we have Captain Cuddles, Classicman, Colywoggles and Crocus Blossom."

"Wait," I laugh, "is this website actually legit? There can't be anyone in the world stupid enough to call their boyfriend that."

"No, it's real." The boy grins. "And personally, I liked 'captain cuddles'. I feel like I could get very attached that nickname."

"In your dreams." I mutter.

"Okay, I have another question." Jimin breathes, changing the subject abruptly. "Am I allowed to tell my friends that we're dating?"

"How many friends?"

"Just Jungkook and Taehyung."

"Don't they know already?" I ask, raising an eyebrow teasingly. "They probably have your phone bugged or something, right?"

"I think they considered that for a bit," the dancer laughs, "but it was too expensive."

"I'm okay with telling them." I say. "Just so long as they don't turn around and blab our news to the whole campus. Do you think they would do that?"

The dancer shakes his head. "They know how sensitive that stuff is, Jungkook especially. When they first started dating, he tried to keep their relationship a secret."

"Why?"

"He was really afraid of getting hate from his homophobic friends. Kookie and Tae are about as 'official' as it gets now, but I'm sure they remember what it was like at the beginning. They could keep quiet about us if we asked them to."

"Okay." I decide. "I'm fine with you telling them."

"I guess Ji knows about it as well." Jimin frets. "Do you think she'll spread the news around?"

"It's not the end of the world if she does." I shrug. "I'm pretty private about my relationships, but I don't feel like we need to keep this a secret. It's more that I would rather not become the next piece of school gossip."
