A year seemingly passed like air, fortunately everything was going smoothly. Even though Luhan had a hard time hiding his feelings, he made sure to keep them intact. Pitiful, he would think every night why he couldn't move on and accept reality. Then again, he had nothing else to do but endure it.
'Hey Lulu' Xiumin, Luhan's best friend called, as he heard his voice he automatically looked back to see Xiumin running towards him with a smile.
'Xiumin, stop calling me Lulu. It's embarrassing- we're twenty five for Christ's sake' Luhan hissed, but Xiumin continued to smile as he grasped for air, 'Don't be like that, Lulu. It's cute just like you'
Luhan hit his shoulders as they laughed, walking out of their workplace. Xiumin was his first friend from their home town; they got separated when Luhan had to move to China. It was a year ago when they had an unexpected meeting at their office and from then on, they started to catch up with one another.
They sat facing each other at their usual cafe, talking about how their day has gone and what they wanted to do over the weekend. Xiumin was the same, from then until now he only grew outside. It made Luhan automatically feel comfortable with him. They would laugh as they reminisced their childhood, and try to make new unforgettable memories.
In the eye of the bystanders, they looked like inseparable friends. Always together, always there for each other, it looked like no one could come between them. They were both undeniably attractive which made girls flock over them, but it was obvious in their eyes that both of the guys were in love with someone else.
Luhan still kept his strong feelings for his brother Sehun. While Xiumin, was gradually falling on love with Luhan. It was weird at first,
'How could I fall in love with another man?' he thought, but as their relationship grew closer nothing minded for him. He just accepted his feelings.
How long can he keep his feelings for him? Xiumin thought. Even from before he might have had always liked Luhan, when they got separated he felt unusually depressed. A depression he didn't feel for anyone, but Luhan.
Xiumin waited for the time when they reunite once again, and a year ago he was given that chance but he noticed Luhan was different since they last met... he wanted to cease his own understanding, but knowing Luhan well, he could not turn his attention away. He knew that Luhan was in love with someone else.
'Hey Xiumin, I'm sorry I can't walk to the bus stop with you today' Luhan said as they ate lunch. Together, they sat at the cafeteria sharing meals.
'It's okay,' Xiumin replied, 'can I ask why though?'
Luhan looked at him and gave a beaming smile, the smile that makes him fall in love with him over and over, then answered,
'Sehun said he wanted to eat dinner with me today, so we're going to a restaurant'
Luhan was too gleeful today, Xiumin thought. Although he couldn't understand the reason beforehand, he knew it had something to do with Sehun.
He had no choice but to give him a weak smile as he replied, 'Great'
As the clock ticked to four-thirty o'clock it signed for them to go home. Xiumin walked with Luhan until they got out of the building. As they saw Sehun waiting with a cab, Xiumin watched how Luhan's plain smile turned into something he had never seen before.
An expression he wanted to give to Luhan, he wanted to be the one who makes him do that. It was painful, he felt his heart shatter. He did not want to believe what he thought, but seeing it happening in front of him... he could not deny it anymore.
Luhan, the one he loves, is in love with his own brother.
