Geoff rouses the next day, his dreariness wearing off heavily making him feel lighter. He sits up from his position and stretches, clicking his joints. His tall frame doesn't fit on the sofa, the place he'd been sleeping for a few days, but going to Jawn's spare room seems like such a nuisance. His eyes scan the room, seeing Jawn's laptop and camera laying on the coffee table. Jawn uploads his pictures all the time and has never minded Geoff looking at them, so he takes the opportunity and crouches in front of it.
There's a slow green line crawling along the bottom of a picture, showing that it is the one that is being uploaded. Because the window is slightly minimised, he can just make out Jawn's background of a sunset through some trees. Of course, he can only see the orange colour fading to purple with some black streaks running through it; but he knows the exact picture it is. He was there when Jawn took it. They were walking home from a party, slightly tipsy, and Jawn stopped and said something along the lines of 'woah, someone split their beer on the sky'. The picture is kind of blurry because Jawn was anything but steady, however he loves it a lot.
The green line finishes it's path, switching to another photo and starting over. Geoff frowns at it. It's of him and Awsten, on the sofa, sleeping. His arms are protectively wrapped around him and his mouth is slightly open; a habit he's had since childhood. He patiently waits for the next picture, it's the same image from a different angle. He hears footsteps coming down the hallway and turns to look at Jawn, curiosity written all over his face.
"Why were you taking pictures of Awsten and I?" He asks, turning completely to look at his friend. His arms are crossed, and it's because of a weird feeling he gets at the fact that Jawn was looking at Awsten.
Jawn looks over Geoff's shoulder at the screen, that is now showing the pictures of Awsten getting angry at the things Jawn was saying. Geoff is about to turn his head to look at what Jawn is frowning at, but Jawn quickly grabs Geoff's shoulders. Geoff couldn't be more confused, but Jawn forces out, "I just thought you looked cute together, sleeping, y'know?" His eyes flick back to the screen that shows the picture of Awsten getting defensive. Geoff turns to look, but Jawn wraps his arms tightly around Geoff and slams him into his chest; almost a hug. "I'm just so sorry!"
Geoff's eyes widen at his friend's odd behaviour, but hugs him back and says, "It's okay, man, I was just confused."
Jawn sighs in relief as the final picture of Awsten walking out the door is uploaded and everything is complete. He lets go of Geoff and closes his laptop.
"I feel a lot better, so I'm gonna go home today. Thanks for letting me crash here." Geoff smiles, scratching the back of his head awkwardly - disliking this feeling of vulnerability.
Jawn smiles back, standing up and ushering Geoff down the hall. "You're very welcome, how about you go shower and borrow some of my clothes the you can go back to your dorm." He says as he grabs a towel from a cupboard, forcing it into Geoff's hands. "Have a nice shower, good bye." Jawn instructs curtly, shutting the door of the bathroom with Geoff inside.
Geoff stands inside the bathroom feeling rather confused, but gets on with showering anyway. Jawn is acting weird and he doesn't know why.
