Harry's POV

July 31st, 11:59 pm

Pain. There was no other word to describe what I was going through the moment the clock struck 11:59. It just happened. All the pain hit me. the same pain I felt at the graveyard when I was being Crucio-ed, only a hundred times worse. As the pain started to subside, I pushed myself into a sitting position on the floor and gasped.

There was no blood.

Usually, I would still feel it. Blood trickling down my skin as the wounds still stung in immense pain. But now there was nothing. Touching my back to examine the reason, I discovered that the wounds were healed leaving scars as the only remaining evidence of what I had been through a few hours ago.

Then I sensed it.

My magic. The most powerful it's ever been, coursing through my veins and creating currents in the air.

Not understanding what was happening, I tried to think of ways to fix the situation and arrived at a solution. "I will go to Gringotts and ask for a blood test", I thought. "Surely this is just something I inherited from my parents. Though it would be safer to check the official documents."

Grabbing only my wand and my invisibility cloak, I ran out and caught the Knight Bus to Diagon Alley.

Entering the bank, a goblin - Griphook, I think his name was - approached me and asked: "What is your business here, sir?"

I answered, "My name is Harry Potter, sir. I wish to take a blood test."

"Very well. Follow me," he replied.

I was led into what seemed to be an office and stood in front of a table. Griphook took out a piece of blank parchment and a dagger. Handing me the dagger, he said: "Let 3 drops of blood fall onto the parchment." Doing exactly as I was told I waited for the results.
