S2: Declaration of War

Kai's POV

After that depressing/uplifting conversation I had with the Principal, I went to the lunch room to eat with my classmates. Right now, I'm sitting next to Midoriya and Tsuyu. I could see Tsuyu giving me a bright smile, which made me smile happily as well. Ever since going out on a date, we've gotten a lot closer. It's unclear though whether or not we've become boyfriend and girlfriend. I'll have to talk to her about that.

Anyways, I'm just sitting at the table eating lunch with my friends(Izuku, Ochako, Iida, Tsuyu, Kirishima, and even Momo. Just to name a few) when all of a sudden Momo asks me a question.

Momo: "So Kai, what happened at the Principal's office?"

Kai: "hm?"

Momo: "Mr. Aizawa said the Principal wanted to talk to you before dismissing us. What did you talk about?"

Izuku: "Were you trouble?"

Iida: "Hopefully not."

Kai: "No, I wasn't in trouble. And even if I was in trouble, it wouldn't be the first time."

Tsuyu: "Ribbit, So what happened?"

Kirishima: "Yeah Bro, fill us in!"

Kai: "Alright Alright, stop nagging! Jeez. If you're really that curious, we were talking about the Sports Festival."

Momo: "What about it?"

Kai: "I don't think I should say."

Kirishima: "Why not? Is there a problem?"

Kai: "You could say that."

Izuku: "What do you mean? What's the problem?"

Kai: "*sigh* The Pros wanted to keep me out of the Sports Festival."

Everyone sitting at the same table as Kai: "...WHAT?!"

Iida: "They wanted to exempt you from the Sports Festival?"

Izuku: "But why?"

Kai: "Because they're afraid."

Kirishima: "Afraid of what? You? Why are they of- You know what, I just figured it out. Shutting up now."

Kai: "Thank you."

Ochako: "But that isn't fair! They can't just keep you from participating because they're afraid!"

Momo: "You only get one chance a year. You shouldn't be forced to miss out on that experience."

Kai: "Calm down, everyone. The Principal, All Might, and Aizawa already convinced them to let me participate on one of two conditions."

Tsuyu: "What are they?"

Kai: "Either learn to control the Rider quickly, or don't transform at all."

Izuku: "Oh man, that's seems pretty hard."

Kai: "You think?"

Tsuyu: "So you either figure out a way to transform at will without losing control, or you try your best to not get too angry... I feel like things might end badly if you decide to just suppress your anger. I know you can do it better than Bakugou, but still."

Kai: "I know. This just means I gotta train harder and figure out how to use more of the Rider's powers without transforming."

????: "Heh, like you'll be able to use more of my powers without transforming."

Kai: "What the- Who said that?"

I look around to see who it was talking to me. Unfortunately, I didn't see anyone, and I didn't hear the voice again.
