Meeting the wolves- The Beach

Edward dropped as a bit dar from the beach and drove back. Good.

"What is his problem? Couldn't he have driven for a couple of minutes more?"I asked irritated.

"It is not his territo-he doesn't like this place."Bella corrected herself hurriedly.

"Territory huh? Chiron told me werewolves are mot far from vampires. Something about vampires being there fastens their transformation or puberty or something."I thought.

But when I saw the group of boys without their shirts and perfect abs, I couldn't help but roll my eyes in exasperation!

"Hey guys this is Mavia, the exchange student. Mavia this is Jacob, Embry, Sam, Paul, Leah and Seth."she said pointing at each of them. Seth and Jacob were busy parking the car while the others stood in front of us.

"So Victoria showed up again."Bella blurted out.

"Not in front  of  her." Retorted one of the guys, I guess Sam.

I bit my lips to keep back any comments but Bella added, "She knows."

"How?"growled Sam.

While Bella narrated the incident, I turned towards the sea. It looked awful. Did they not care about it?

When Bella finished another voice grabbed my attention, " And if you are wondering if we are  bloodsuckers, we are not."said Jake while the other guys nodded in disgust.

"No but I'd bet my money on werewolves." I retorted before I could stop myself. Oh schist!

They looked shocked and glared at me but before they could say anything the last boy came up and looked up at me. He froze and I cocked my head in confusion. It seemed a while before he carefully said, " Hi . I am Seth."

I nodded towards him and turned to guys whose glare had softened and said, " I had a run in with some vampires sometime ago and learned a few things about their world. Don't worry I hate the bloodsucker as much as you do." "Sorry Bella!"I added after a quick afterthought.

"Did they hurt you? Are you fine?"Seth quickly asked.

"Yes I am new-guy-I-just-met!"I replied but after seeing his embarrassment I felt guilty and added, "Very sweet of you to ask." I turned away but not before I saw the blush creep up his cheek.

"Bloodsuckers. More than one and in some weeks too many." scoffed Jacob.

"You didn't tell me about this!"I quickly whipped my head towards Bella accusingly.
"How many more? And why will more come?"

Embry grinned at me and said, " Well Edward has a family of seven including him and Volturi is coming for Bella."

I told Bella that I would need to meet this family while Jacob scolded Embry for telling me.

I stripped down to the swimsuit Bella lent me and quickly checked to see if the mist covered all my scars.

"Hey, Mavee fancy a jump?"Paul asked me grinning and pointing towards the cliff.

"It is dangerous don't be ridiculous Paul." Seth and Jake said together.

"Of course. Also fancy a race?"I added mockingly.

"You want to challenge a werewolf?"he said surprised before grinning and adding, "You are on."

I couldn't wait to beat him. We reached the edge of the cliff when he said, "First one to jump and reach the shore wins."

The other guys just rolled their eyes muttering Paul to just stop while Bella tried to convinced me that this was a bad idea.

"Don't hold back." I muttered to Paul and took my place at the edge. Jake started the countdown while Seth looked at me worried. I flashed him a smile and turned to the front.

"....and GO!"

I pushed off the edge and saw Paul do a somersault out of the corner of my eye. Showoff .

As soon as I hit the water, energy pulsed through me and I started swimming. I decided that I would win by an inch so as to not raise any eyes. I saw Paul look at me, shocked to see I could keep up. I looked ahead and swam faster. It was not long before we reached the shore and I came up a second before Paul did, not even tired visibly.

The boys gaped at me in shock while I turned back at Paul and stuck my tongue out, laughing.

"You just beat a werewolf!"he said in awe.

"School swim team honey!"I said blowing a kiss at him.

"Lets go back to the house." Jake said tossing a towel at me.

"Don't stare."muttered Paul before we entered the house and I stared at his back in confusion.

"Hi, I am Emily!"said a girl, uncertainly. Her face was scarred. It didn't matter to me much after living my life, a few scars don't bother me.

I shook her hand and gasped. Everybody turned to glare at me but I continued, " Where did you get this ring! It is so cool!"

I love rings. This seemed to amuse everyone while Paul threw me a quick smile.

Emily laughed and said, "Sam gifted it to me."

"Never would have guessed."I muttered which made Emily's smile wider, "He is my fiancée!"

"No!"I gasped in mock shock which earned me a scowl from him. Making my way to the table I sat down next to Paul and Seth. Paul had already piled something on my plate and when I looked at him questioningly he said, "Won't get anything if you aren't quick enough."
