The Offer

POV: Mavia

I made my way to the office. I hoped Chiron had some good news but who was I kidding!
I walked up as slowly as I could until my ADHD got the better of me and I increased my pace,slightly annoyed at myself!

Chiron was pacing around and looked worried.
"Ah! Mavia , there is no easy way to this...I...I have a quest for you..."he ended sheepishly and added quickly, " You may or may not accept it. That is up to you."

I sighed and asked, " What is the quest about?"

"I am sure you remember Ellen(dead camper-daughter of Hecate). She did not die during the war but was killed by the Volturi. They are sending us a message. I do not want to create a havoc in camp after such a tragedy. What do you say?"

I gritted my teeth thinking about the Volturi, they have killed enough, " I accept but I will be doing this alone. There is no need to hassle anyone else from camp. They have gone through enough."

"So have you."Chiron added softly.

I stared at him biting my lips and gave a shrug when as the silence extended.

"Very well. I have learned that they might make an appearance in Forks. You will be staying with Charlie under the pretence of an exchange student. I suggest you get ready."

Saying a quick prayer to thank Zeus , I got off the plane and made my way to the terminal.
"...student here! Why did she come to Forks of all places?"scoffed a tall, freakishly pale guy.

He held a sign reading 'Mavia Jackson'. Just my luck . I made my way over to them and said, "You must be Isabella. Hi, I am Mavia..and this is ??"

"Just Bella please and he is my boyfriend , Edward. Charlie couldn't be here because there has been some accidents he had to handle."she quickly added, " He is a cop."

I nodded absentmindedly, feeling Edward's eye on me and observing the confusion across his face. There was something off about him. My ring is celestial bronze and transforms into my sword. Thinking quickly I held out my hand to Edward.
" Nice to meet you Edward!"I said flashing a smile. Uncertainty flashed across his face but disappeared just as quickly. "Nice to meet you too."he smiled politely and took my hand. Almost instantly he jerked it back wincing in pain! Snatching my duffel bag, he turned away and walked towards the exit without a word.

"Don't worry about him."Bella said ,looking nervous.

I gave her a fake smile and followed her to car while my brain screamed VAMPIRE . I wonder what does the Volturi wanted with Bella. Does she know about her boyfriend? She seemed awfully nervous when he jerked his hand back.

I sat quietly throughout the car ride wondering whether to confront him or kill him.
