An Old Friend

POV: Mavia
I saw Seth walking towards the motorcycle and I frowned.

With a smirk and obviously without thinking I blurted, "Aren't you too young to drive that Seth."

He turned beet red and I immediately regretted it. I barely knew him! I am always nice to people I just meet. Well with the exception of people like Paul and Jake. I feel really comfortable around idiots but Seth is really nice so I felt bad.

Before he could say anything I added clumsily, "Well thats good you know. I don't know why but I was always scared to get on a bike. You know they go...." I trailed off gesturing with my hand how the bike titled dangerously to its side.

Seth just nodded with a awkward smile, took the keys of the truck......which were on the bike.

I mentally groaned and face palmed myself! God I am horrible. I walked and sat in the truck still stuck on this trail of thought.

I started out the moving truck. Why would I say that!? And wait why am I still stuck on that?It was not a big deal! I have said much worse stuff to people. Wait a second! Do I like Seth!? Ugh!! That idiot Jake put this in my head. I am just making stuff up because I think what Jake said was true. Now I am over thinking! "Great!" I didn't realise that I said the last word out loud while slamming back into the back rest.

"Is this not okay? I just wanted to stop by my house to grab something."said Seth.

I looked around properly and realised we were standing outside a rustic house which looked much like the big house back at camp.

"Uuh..no..I was just thinking about something else. Take all the time you need." I said with a smile while painfully aware of my tingling cheeks. I was blushing. Damn you Jake!

"Would like to wait inside?"asked Seth.

"Sure! If its no problem." I groaned internally as I said that. Why am I talking like this? I am pretty sure I had blushed again.So as soon as he said that it was no problem I turned towards the door to hide my face.

I walked up to the porch and waited for him to catch up. Looking back I saw that a middle aged woman was also walking towards us.

She looked vaguely familiar. As she came close I was frantically trying to remember because I was horrible with names. It suddenly clicked.

"Sue! What are you doing here?" I exclaimed really confused.

"Sue....how do you know my mom?"asked an equally confused Seth looking back and forth between us.

"Mavia! What a present surprise! When did you come to Forks!"asked a smiling Sue.

Then looking towards Seth she added, " I met her during my trip to Brooklyn a few years back. But wait... is she your...."

"Am I his what?" I asked getting more and more confused.

Seth looked flustered , nodded his head and with slight annoyance asked, " Did Leah tell you?"

Sue looked back at Seth, smiling dangerously she said, " Yeah when my son didn't tell me one of the biggest things to happen to him."

Getting a little annoyed I interrupted, " Hello!! Will you guys tells me? What big thing?"

"Umm..no..."mumbled Seth and grabbing my hand he added, " I am not leaving you alone with her.Come on."

With that he led me into the house quickly and straight to his room. It was then he realised that he was still holding my hand and where he had just led me.

His room was a mess with clothes and books spread all around his room. He ran his hand through his hair and looked around embarrassed.

I laughed and said, " There is a system for everything in your room, isn't there? That is why my room is also a mess."

Finally becoming a but comfortable, he laughed and said, "Yea that is exactly what I tell my mom."

"Well aren't you guys just perfect together."Sue's voice came from the doorway.

Leaning against the door she was grinning at us. I cleared my throat awkwardly and tried to change the topic.

"Get what you need Seth. I need to talk to Sue." I said walking to Sue.

"Come on, we'll talk in the kitchen. I have to get started on some cookies anyways."

Sue was a demigod too. Daughter of Hermes. She was one of the few who was able to grow up and start a family at least that is what I thought until I saw the Roman Camp. She had come along with a few other older demigods to help defend Olympus during the attack led by Kronos. It was during that time that I got to know her. Not too well apparently.

As soon as we entered the kitchen I asked, " Do you turn too ?"

She shook her head and asked, "Are you here because the new born army?"

"Not really. That was just a coincidence. I heard that the Volturi would come here. They killed my friend and are threatening camp."

"I am so sorry dear. Do they know ?"

"No they don't. I don't know if I should tell them about all this. Wait! Don't werewolves have super hearing or something?"

Sue just rolled her eyes at me and went back to kneeding the dough. "How are things at camp? I am really sorry I didn't come this time."

"Getting better slowly. Don't worry about it. Probably for the best that you didn't. You have made a pretty good life for yourself."

She smiled sadly and said , "My past still killed Harry. The kids don't know yet."

"I heard. I am sorry . I wish I could have been here."

She stared at the dough lost in thought. She looked up suddenly as if something clicked. "About Seth..." she trailed off worried.

"What about him? Does this have something to do with what you guys were talking outside? What were you talking about?"

"That you will have to ask Seth.I was .." she was interrupted by Seth who had come down and asked , " Ask me what?"

"What you were talking about outside."

Seth looked away and glared at his mother , " Come on we have to go."

Sue just laughed and added teasingly, " See you later Mavia!"

Walking outside to the truck I kept looking at Seth who kept avoiding looking at me.

Finally when we were in the car I started at him with my hands crossed across my chest.

Simply starting his truck he said in a low voice, " I am not telling you Vi."

I slammed back into the back rest but still not defeated. I was just getting more and more curious.

A/N: Sorry for the abrupt ending😅😂. I feel like nothing is happening so just wait for the next chapter!

I like writing about Vi and Seth together.So this chapter was it a bit long.
