The Car Ride

Review:
Mavia comes to Forks. She has confronted the Cullens about the upcoming fight and brought the wolves and vampires under the same roof to discuss strategy.

POV:Mavia

The car ride didn't turn out to be any less awkward. Seth stared ahead determined and I totally sucked at starting a conversation.

It was only after we were on the way back to the house that Seth spoke up , " Doyouhaveaboyfriend ?"

I looked at him confused. He turned red,embarrassed and repeated, " How do you know about all that?

I looked away, staring out of the window, "Like I said I had a run in with vampires before."

Looking back, I stared at Seth. Curious I asked, "Tell me something interesting about werewolves?"

We had reached the house. Getting out of the car, he said, " Well it is all pretty basic .... something interesting......"

"Tell her about imprints, Seth." Jake shouted coming towards us.

"Uh..well it is basically when a werewolf imprints on his soulmate when he first sees them."

"So it is like love at first sight? But does that really work I mean... soulmates." I said in disbelief .

Seth shrugged and hurried into the house when I turned towards Jake who was grinning.

"It works alright!"

"Okay so if you imprint but the girl doesn't like you back? Or if you imprint on a 90 year old? Or what if you...."

"I really don't have the patience Vi. Why don't you ask Seth out . I am sure he will answer all your questions."

"Ask him out? He doesn't even seem to like me !"

Rolling his eyes Jake walked away, towards the house .

Pouting, I followed him expecting to see the Cullens gone but boy was I in for a surprise.

"Now that you are back you can tell us who you exactly are."Edward stated, the entire room stared at me .

"The school has no record of any exchange student. Bella's father doesn't remember you. Alice's visions have stopped.Who are you." Rosalie growled.

"Are you with the new born army?" someone urged.

"I'll tell you if you let me speak. No I am not an exchange student. And no I am not with the new borns. As for Alice's visions- they stopped because of the involvement of the powerful beings I told you about."

"What powerful beings?" Sam questioned.

"You are not ready to know."I answered calmly.

The whole room erupted into chaos.

I continued when the noise died down, " Either you take my help and we do it together or I do it on my own. I'll let you know that I am perfectly capable."

"Perfectly capable to take on an army of vampires?" Sam scoffed.

I just stared straight at him without answering.

"Fine. We need to train these guys tomorrow anyways. If you manage to beat anyone of us tomorrow you are in-no questions asked." Edward said breaking the silence.

The Next Morning :

Since the affect of the mist had worn off from Bella's father and I couldn't possibly do it again since they knew, Bella passed it off as a sleepover.

Edward picked us up and drove us to their training area.

Leaning against a tree I silently observed them . It would be difficult to pin down a vampire due to their speed. It is easier to kill them than pin them down.

But the werewolves would not be an easy fight too because of their brute strength. I have to be careful not to hurt them though.

When their session ended, Edward turned towards me expectantly and said, " It's your choice. Choose who you want to beat you."

Scowling at him I scanned all the werewolves present. Smiling, I said, " Mind loosing again Paul?"

Rolling his eyes at me he asked, " Are you sure? Do you not want to go for one of the weak ones? You will have to listen to us if you loose Vi. There is still time."

Smiling at him I walked to the clearing.

"Remember the deal Mavia. If you loose you do as I say no questions asked." Edward called out from behind me.

"Be careful Paul.." Jake cautioned him.

"All I have to do is pin you to the ground, right?"

Paul nodded , a bit nervous about hurting me by accident.

I walked towards him to shake his hands and close the deal. As soon as we shook hands, I promptly judo flipped him and pinned him down.

Everyone was shocked. Nobody said anything until Paul groaned and said, " You cheated..."

Everybody slowly nodded in agreement and I reluctantly let him up.

"Fine Paul, you know what they say- third time's a charm." I teased him.

The change in him was almost instantaneous. He had become much more focused and determined.

Paul lunged at me but I quickly side stepped and kicked his feet. He stumbled forward and turned back quickly, surprised.

Every time I avoided his attack and punches, he became more determined and careful.

Finally he managed to clasp my hands from back ,holding me against his chest and said out of breath, " Give up now?"

"Nope." I said and bend down swiftly, throwing him forward and into the ground.

I grinned down at him and looked up finally remembering that I had an audience.

"How..." Sam asked. The others stared at me speechless. Slightly worried I just answered mockingly, " No questions asked."

I walked away from the clearing hoping to escape from the stares.

Edward said, " I think we should go back and plan for tomorrow."

Reluctantly everyone walked back not satisfied with my answer.
