it's a spiral.
you decide on that as the thoughts keep coming, slowly venturing into darker and darker territory. it's a spiral, and you're caught in the center of it. unable to escape, unable to breathe. unable, even, to think. because these thoughts aren't your own.
but it's a spiral.
and it tightens as you slowly descend along with it. the thoughts have a grip on you, and it's relentless and strong. you know, deep inside you, that even if you struggled, you'd never be free. so you don't even try.
because it's a spiral.
and you're falling with it, falling faster than your exhausted heart can keep up with. there are tears on your face, but you can't even feel them anymore. you can't really feel much of anything anymore.
it's a spiral.
and you're trapped in the center of it, trapped and forced to hear these thoughts consume you. and you know it's pointless to fight it, pointless to do anything but allow the spiral to tighten around you until you're suffocating on the tainted air.
it's a spiral.
and a part of you doesn't even care. because at least in the spiral, it's fine that you're alone, because you're the only one that's there. in the spiral, there's no one to look at you with disgust as you slowly fall apart like a glass vase that used to hold colorful flowers. now, you're empty, and all that was once colorful is now gone.
because it's a spiral.
and the spiral tightens and the thoughts get louder and you can't even think or breathe or move or care. all that you might have once cared for has been replaced by the thick black tendrils of the spiral, and you don't even care. and it sickens you, but what else can you do?
it's a spiral.
and you're trapped in the center of it. you could fight, but you don't. because what's the point?
it's a spiral.
