You couldn't believe you were going to the Yule ball alone. You didn't really have a choice. You wanted someone to ask you but he didn't. You really hoped that he would have.

Draco Lucius Malfoy. The only guy you had eyes for right now. You talked from time to time but you didn't think he liked you. He didn't ask you. You weren't sure if he was even going to show up.

You looked at yourself in the mirror. You took a deep breath before walking outside. Everyone was smiling and chatting while approaching the great hall. You were a little late. You probably already missed the first dance. You didn't want to embarrass yourself by showing up early alone.

Music was playing when you entered the great hall. People were Slow dancing or sitting on the side, having a few drinks.

'Hey.' Gregory smiled as soon as he saw you.

You Gregory and Vincent were good friends seeing that they served as death eaters too.

'Hi guys.' You smiled.

'I haven't seen you all evening. All you alright?' Vincent asked.

'Yeah I'm fine. I just didn't want to show up too early.'

'How can you be too early? Did your date agree?' Vincent asked.

'No one wants to go to a ball with a Riddle. So I don't have one.' You sighed.

The two boys felt a little guilty.

'I thought you and Draco might go together.' Gregory then said.

'I mean that would have been nice but it's not like he has to take me.' You said.

What you didn't know was that Draco also had a crush on you. He didn't ask you because he thought you didn't like him. Only Gregory and Vincent knew that you liked each other.

'Well maybe if you look for him you can still dance with him.'

You smiled.

'Maybe I can. I'll look for him.'

You walked past the students and tried to look for Draco. It didn't have to take too long. I mean his hair stood out everywhere.

You finally found him. He was on the dance floor.. dancing with Pansy..

That wasn't very good for your heart. Your heart sank and you got tears in your eyes. You couldn't believe this was happening. You took a step back. They seemed truly happy but all it did was destroy you. You turned around and ran out of the great hall. Gregory and Vincent then saw why.

After the song Draco walked away from the dance floor. Gregory grabbed his and pulled him with him towards Vincent.

'Guys! This suit is expensive!' He hissed while pulling his arm back.

'Why didn't you ask Jo to the ball?'

'Because she doesn't like me. There's no way that she will ever like me.'

'Well she does and she just saw you dancing with someone else and ran out crying so I would go after her if you want her to keep liking you.' Vincent hissed.

Draco was a little in shock.

'She likes me?'

'Yes! Go after her!' Gregory sighed.

Draco ran out immediately looking for you.

You made your way to the astronomy tower. You could still hear the music in the distance. You were standing on the balcony and felt the cold wind blow past you.

You listened to the music in the distance. You heard: if only by Dove Cameron. You loved that song. You sighed. If only you could dance to it with Draco.. If only he hadn't chosen Pansy above you. You started singing along. Normally you wouldn't but it wasn't as if anyone was near.

Draco heard you. He looked up and saw you standing on the balcony. He also heard the music in the distance. He walked up the stairs of the tower. He listened for a moment before talking.

'You have a beautiful voice.'

He scared you a little and you turned around.

'What are you doing here?' You asked.

'I was wondering where you were. Thought I'd look for you. You know all the lyrics?' He asked.

'Yes I do. It's my favourite song.'

Draco walked over to you and offered yoiu his hand.

'Do you want to dance?' He asked.

'Weren't you with pansy?' You asked while raising your brows.

'I don't see her here.'

You sighed and a small smile crossed your lips while you grabbed his hand. He pulled you closer and laid his hand on your hip. Your cheeks shot red while you looked up at him. A gentle smile crossed his face when you two started dancing.

You danced all the way to the end of the song. You loved every moment. He was a great dancer. You loved being this close to him, feeling his arms around you.

Draco stopped. You two were standing very close together. Your lips almost touching.

'Maybe you should go back to your date.' You said.

'I don't want to. I didn't want to go with her.'

'Who did you want to go with?' You asked.

Draco didn't answer he just pressed his soft lips against yours.
