Underground River of an Abandoned Mine...
Sophia emerged from the river shivering and wet. Apparently vampires are susceptible to temperature changes, especially on the colder side of the thermometer. She removes the excess water from her dress to minimize her shivering. She coughs off water that got into her throat. She looks around and sees unlit torches and... bones??
"W-What happened here?" She asks herself. She examines a few bodies and saw that the bodies were wearing armor. Body parts were everywhere indicating mutilation. "They must have been monster food." She thought. Upon exploring the bodies, she saw one that was holding its scabbard. She picks it up and sees a beautiful silver blade adorn with Latin inscriptions with a red cross on it. "Templars? Here in Romania?" She thought. Then she heard growling. She then hurried deeper into the cave in hopes of losing them. But she bumps into 3 ghouls, shorter ones. They seem to be scouts. They growl at her. She then, out of instinct, unsheathed the blade from the scabbard of it's late owner and aim it at them. "Hope my days of practicing pays off" She thought. One them instantly leaped at her. She was able to react quickly and slices the the creature's throat. Some of the creature's blood spilled on her cheek which she wiped off with a hint of fear. She never liked the sight of blood but she's gonna have to deal with it if she wants to get out of this place alive.
The ghouls were now hesitant to attack but one of them attacked her anyway by trying to scratch her with its knife-like fingers. She was able to block it just in time but she was pushed back by the monster's strength. It tries to claw its way to Sophia but she was able to stab it just in time before it touches her face. The last of the scouts cowered and ran away. She was safe, for now. She started running through the cave trying to find a way out. She encounters more ghouls who try to apprehend her but she was untouchable. She hacked through the monsters like paper now unfazed from the blood on her dress. She just wants to get out of this hell hole.
Abandoned Mine...
"Master! I bring worrying news!" The scout from earlier rushed for the armored ghoul who seems to be the leader of the monsters here.
"Make it quick." The leader said.
"The vampire! S-She She is slaughtering our horde!" The scout said while cowering in fear.
"WHAT!?? Lord Dracula will not be pleased! STOP THAT NEWBORN!" The leader shouted. As soon as the order was given, a horde of ghouls charge towards Sophia's direction. Some of them wearing leather and some holding clubs with the skulls of their victims on them.
"Oh dear..." Sophia told herself as she sees a horde of monsters coming her way. She needed to run.
Or...
"I will not back down." She grips her blade.
Then... The ghouls cower in fear. They are now hesitating on attacking her.
"What are you doing you imbeciles!?" The Leader shouted. The armored monster pushed the cowering monsters out of the way and saw Sophia. Her eyes were glowing a bright crimson. A strand of her hair was white.
"Just like Lord Dracula." The armored Leader said.
"He will be pleased if you submit to your creator, Newborn. He gave you immortality and immense strength. If you submit to Lord Dracula, you will become more powerful than you could imagine. You will be his Queen." The monster attempted to persuade her.
She starts taking a few steps towards the ghouls. They cower and take a step back.
"What are you doing??" The monster demanded an answer.
"This is a curse. Not a gift. I am now a MONSTER because of him!! I never wanted any of this!! I just wanted to be LOVED!! And instead he turns me into... THIS!!" She starts hacking through the army of ghouls who were cowering in fear because of the rage in her eyes. She kills every single ghoul except the armored leader. The armored ghoul picks up a spiky stone club and starts attacking her. She gets knocked back at wall making it crumble to pieces. This monster was strong.
"You may be like Lord Dracula, but not as strong as him!" It then swings its club at her crushing her right arm. She gasps in pain. Lucky for her, she's left-handed. She grips her right hand and endures the pain. She parries an attack which almost crushed her left side.
"You are good. But not good ENOUGH!!" The monster shouts at her as it makes the earth shake by smacking the ground many times. Debris start falling from above like hail. She had to act fast. She uses a corpse of a dead ghoul as an umbrella and runs towards the monster pushing it with immense force strong enough to send it flying to a wall of granite. She then drops her blade and the corpse and started beating him to a pulp.
"Stop! Please! Have mercy!" The monster begged.
"Where is VLADIMIR!??" She demanded.
"I do not know where Lord Dracula resides! Please! Leave me be!" The monster begged for its life.
"Fine. I will spare your life. But if you see your Master, I want you to tell him this:"
"I will find you. I will search every corner of the world to find you. And I will drive my blade into your heart just as you crushed mine. I will not stop until I get my revenge. I will not rest until you crumble to dust. I will not rest until I rid you from of this world." She told the monster.
The monster then fled deeper into the caves. She then picked up her blade and placed it inside her scabbard. She proceeds to follow the path to the exit of the cave. Dusk. The sun was setting causing the Sailor's Delight phenomena. The sun hurt her slightly but it was a pain she can bear just to see the sunset. When the night has taken over, she then went out of the cave...
...In search for the monster that made her into what she is now.
