In a forest somewhere in Romania...

Sophia slowly opens her eyes. She felt weak as if she was strangled by 10 men. She tries to get up but her legs can barely hold her. Her entire body was getting an acupuncture. She uses a tree for support while she struggles to walk. "What is happening to me?" She thought. She then saw a puddle of clear water. She slowly walked over to it to look at herself. What she saw horrified her.

She saw a black-haired girl with bright red eyes and pointed canines on the reflection. She saw her claws were sharper than normal. Her skin was lighter. She pulled down the part of her dress where there was blood and saw two puncture wounds on her neck.

"No. No. No no no no NOOOOO!!!!" She shouted clenching her hands on her hair. She was now a vampire. A creature of darkness. A creature cursed to feed on blood and burn under the sun for their unholiness. She started crying. She then clenched her rosary beads but it burnt her hand. A fiery sensation that was. The crucifix on the beads left a mark on her palms that quickly disappeared when she threw the rosary away.

"Unclean! Unclean! Even God hates me now!" She cried. But there was no one there who could comfort her. The sun is rising and the light is slowly creeping through the forest. A single ray of light crept to her hand making it smoke and burst into flames. She screamed in pain and hurriedly placed her hand in the puddle of water and quickly rushed under the shadow of the trees. She tries to look for shade. She forced herself to run for the shadows despite her body aching. She had to or she will burn. She ran whilst crying; Clenching her burnt fist that was stinging from the pain. She stops behind a grove of pine trees close enough to blot out the sun. She leans behind a tree and breathes heavily. She kept wiping her tears constantly.

Suddenly, she heard footsteps. Footsteps of a quadruped. "It seems to be thirsty" she thought. "It is coming this way. Wait, how do I know that?" She looks around. A Chamois gallops towards a nearby stream. She stares at it. "Why do I have this sudden urge to..." She sees the Chamois look around its environment. It then goes back to drinking water. "I am... Hungry..." She thought. She slowly approached the chamois without alerting the animal. She then lunges at it immobilizing it on the ground. It tries to kick her but she was too strong. She then bites the neck of the poor animal, crushing its windpipe making the animal struggle in breathing. She then drains the blood of the animal slowly killing it.

She then pulls away watching the helpless animal as it takes its last breath. "W-What have I done??" She panicked. Then she stopped and tasted the blood in her mouth... "It tastes so good" she thought. She shakes her head,

"No! You are not a monster!" She shouts. Birds start dispersing out of the area.

"You are not a monster..." She told herself.

She looks around, the light is starting to creep throughout the forest. She starts running for her life. Her arm gets exposed to the sunlight setting it on fire. She just keeps running, hoping to see some shade and,

"A cave!" She shouts. She runs for it like hell. She starts noticing that her speed is gradually increasing. She was able to get into the cave quickly. "Whoa, How did I get so fast?" She asks herself. But the light was still creeping through the cave. "Oh no.." She ran deeper into the cave. The light could no longer enter; She was now safe.

"I'm glad that was over. What do I do now? I cannot just go back and tell my sister 'Sis, I am a vampire now!' That would be stupid! They might have me burned on a stake! Besides, I left her for a monster, she wouldn't forgive me" She told herself.

While she thinks of what she is going to do next, she starts hearing voices. "Great, I'm going insane" She thought. But the voices seemed to be talking about Dracula. "Those are not my thoughts!" She then listened closely...

"What of the girl Master Dracula turned?"

"Not sure, but we have to find her."

"Why? We can just leave her under the sun the die."

"She would be a useful asset to the Master. She would be a threat if she falls to enemy hands."

"The sun is up! She should be dead by now!"

"We have to find her anyway!"

"Vladimir is looking for me. Now he wants to find me when he left me for dead! Idiot!" She ranted on her mind.

"Quiet! Someone is here."

"Human?"

"No. Vampire."

"Shoot, they are onto me." She ran deeper into the cave.

"There! I heard it! They are in the entrance!"

She kept running through the cave.

"It is too dark in here!!" She thought when she somehow was able to see in the dark. "I can see in the dark?? Perfect!" She runs deeper into the cave finding an abandoned mine shaft. Two cliffs can be seen about 30 meters apart connected by a rickety old bridge. Flowing water can be heard deep below the chasm. Because of her new found Vampire powers, she can clearly see the area. "Beautiful..." She stood in awe. She started to cross the bridge with haste.

"There it is! It's the girl!" It shouted. It was a monster with a deformed face with its jaw wide open, a ghoul.

"Get her!" The ghoul shouted. A group of ghouls start crossing the bridge behind Sophia trying to catch up to her. She hurries across when she sees another group of ghouls block the other path. They were horrifying to look at. She backs away slowly as the two group of ghouls close in on her.

"Hello, Newborn." The ghoul with armor says.

"N-Newborn??"

"You were turned by Master Dracula with his own blood. You are now his property."

"I am a slave to no one!" She shouts.

"You were. You fell for him, did you not?" The armored ghoul mischievously asked her.

She fell silent.

"Ghouls! Attack!" The armored ghoul ordered them. The monsters started to run towards her making her panic. She tries to look for a way out when she remembered the flowing water below the chasm. She does the sign of the cross, even though it stings. She then jumps off of the bridge falling to the chasm.
