"Alpha Damian," there were several knocks, waking me from my slumber.

As my eyes fluttered open, I took in my surroundings. Images flooded in from yesterday, and my whole body froze when I realised two strong arms were wrapped around my waist, and a hard body was against my back.

Damian was spooning me. Oh dear Lord in Heaven... my wolf couldn't be happier, yet I still couldn't help but feel incredibly uncomfortable.

Deep and rhythmic breaths were leaving his lips, hot breath huffing against the sensitive skin by the crook of my neck.

The rate of my heart beat had increased phenomenally, not knowing what to do. His hold was firm, and so was his... manhood... pushing against my behind.

"Alpha!" The male voice called again. Whoever they were, they knew he had slept in the bedroom I was to stay in. Gosh, I couldn't even bring myself to imagine what kind of an image this gave others.

I felt him shifting behind me, breath returning to normal. He was waking up. I quickly shut my eyes, trying to play it off as if I was still asleep. Maybe it would make this less awkward.

I think it took Damian a moment as well to realise exactly in what kind of a position we were in.

"You're not even going to say good morning?" He cleared his throat, his voice sending a hot pang of need down South. If I thought his voice was low and raspy before, I clearly hadn't heard his morning voice.

I froze again, blushing as he had instantly known I had been awake. His arms removed themselves from around me and he slowly liften himself up into a sitting position on the side of the bed.

I also sat up after him, not knowing how to act, what to say, or even where to look.

"Alpha," the knocking continued, and a frustrated breath left the lips of the man sitting behind me, on the opposite edge of the bed.

"Jason, give me a damn minute, would you?" He grumbled, standing up. I straightened my top and ran a hand through my hair, taking a few deep breaths, eyes focused on the serene forest scenery outside through the window.

Surprising me, Damian rounded the bed and sat down beside me. I was basically staring at him as I glanced over. He leaned his elbows on his knees and cleared his throat again.

"Sorry, I sound horrible in the mornings," he chuckled quietly. I disagreed with him completely, but decided not to say anything. I kept my eyes on the forest outside, wishing so much I could just let my wolf out and go for a run to forget reality.

"That's the best night's sleep I've had in years, Sofia," Damian then spoke, most likely trying to lure me to say something.

"Thank you," he added, and I couldn't help but look at him, or the side of his face, rather.

"For what?" I questioned, brows furrowed slightly. I could almost see how tense his upper back was, just begging for a massage.

"For letting me sleep here. With you"

I had no clue as to what I was supposed to reply with. I just gave him a small and tightlipped smile.

"Will you do something with me today?" Damian continued, dark eyes now focused on me. I couldn't look away and my breath faltered momentarily.

A small panic arose within me, not ready for what I was instantly assuming he wanted to do with me. He sensed this, and shook his head.

"No, not what you're thinking..." he chuckled a little.

"What, then?" I asked, still rather hesitant and wary of him and whatever he had on his mind.

"Let's go for a run. After breakfast," he told me. I stared at him, until a small smile broke through on my lips which he immediately returned.

"Really?"

"Yes, Sofia-"

"Damian!" The voice called again, and I could see how Damian's jaw clenched and so did his fists. He straightened up to glare at the door behind us.

"You're pissing me off. Leave. I'll be there soon," his voice sounded extremely dominant, and even my wolf lied down in complete submission while a shiver ran down my spine.

"Alright, alright..." the voice behind the door gave in, and most likely walked away.

Once Damian noticed the reaction he'd gained from me and my wolf, he studied me for a moment quietly.

His dark and intense eyes were beginning to make me feel hot. I couldn't physically bring myself to look away, definitely feeling how much the mate bond had already grown stronger between us.

I couldn't even imagine how strong he felt it though, since he'd had had six years to develop these feelings before I turned 18.

Mate... Alpha... my wolf was purring, begging for the small space between us to vanish and our lips to meet. I was fighting it with everything I had, feeling so very conflicted.

"What are you looking at?" I questioned, voice sounding defensive at the thought of something looking off from my complexion, especially since I'd just woken up.

I ran my hand through my hair again, just making sure it didn't look incredibly messy and bad. I hadn't even had a chance to shower after my heat, and felt quite disgusted.

"You, Sofia," he told me, voice now calm again and almost gentle, "you're beautiful".

I could feel myself blushing, so I looked down at my lap to avoid him witnessing it.

"Will you have breakfast with me?" He shifted in his seat, clearly used to complimenting someone as much I was used to receiving compliments - so not much.

I had thought I would be stuck in this room yet again for the whole day, and here he was, wanting to have breakfast with me. Maybe he meant breakfast here, in this bedroom?

"Downstairs..." he added, standing up abruptly. I looked up at him gazing down at me.

"Okay".

As if he hadn't been expecting for me to agree, his brows furrowed. Then, he gave me a smile.

His eyes followed closely when I stood up in front of hm.

"Thank you," he honestly seemed kind of relieved.

His hand suddenly came up to cup my jaw gently. His actions with me now were going against everything I knew and thought of him.

And then he was leaning in. My eyes widened while his closed, lips nearing mine. God, now even I wanted to kiss him.

I awkwardly stumbled over my feet in attempt to take a step back. I composed myself while his eyes opened and hand dropped from my jaw, realising I had just curved him.

"Sorry," he quickly muttered, glancing away and scratching the back of his neck uncomfortably. I sighed and pinched the bridge of my nose, no longer knowing what to think of anything.

"I.." I began, but stopped when I realised I had no idea where I would go with it.

My wolf was pissed off at me, and another part of me was as well.

"I'll leave you to get ready, I'll send Linda up to get you in fifteen minutes," after telling me this, he was already on his way without giving me another glance.

Clearly, he felt bad. And so did I, for some stupid reason.

I sighed and let myself sit down back on the bed, shaking my head into my hands.

How was a girl even supposed to get ready in just fifteen minutes?
