"He marked you?" She frowned, "people back at our pack have strategised that they would come on a raid tonight, and bring you back. This would only work if you're not marked by him, otherwise you'd end up dying..."
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I had no idea about the plans of my pack to come save me and if I had, I most likely wouldn't have let Damian mark me.
"I didn't know. I'm sorry, I got carried away," I let out a shaky breath, wanting to cry for having been so stupid.
"That's fine, honey. Your father sends his energy, and so do the rest of your family and pack. We all miss you," she took my hand in hers, comforting me with a gentle squeeze.
My aunt Mae had been the pack doctor of the Fallen Angel's, Alpha Damian's pack, for a long time now. She had always remained loyal to our pack though, working as a sort of undercover spy.
As doctor, she always knew pretty much everything that was going on and could easily report back to my father. This was important especially now that I was here.
"Do you want to leave?" She asked after a moment of silence.
I met her green eyes, feeling so much sorrow for what felt like my mistakes. I should have remained strong like my father had taught me to be, and not given a damn about Damian. But look at me now...
"I don't know, aunt Mae... I miss everyone so much and I understand I'm being held here against my will... the mate bond is just so..."
"Strong. I know, Sofia," she gave me a gentle and understanding nod, "especially now that he's marked you. You two haven't mated yet, right? He came to ask me for the pill to stop your heat that one time".
"No, no, we haven't mated," I was quick to shake my head, "he wants to move kind of fast... I guess?"
"Well he has the Alpha genes, love. Of course he has a higher need to mate," she shrugged as if it was obvious, and my brows furrowed.
"It's always been like this. You want your pack to be strong, right? So the Fates created us so, that the Alpha's - them being the strongest - would want to mate more, creating more strong individuals. Does that make sense?" Aunt Mae explained, and I slowly nodded.
"Do you want to stay here?" She gently asked, the same careful and sweet smile on her lips. I knew she'd understand whatever I would say, she had always been my favourite of all my father's sisters.
"I was kidnapped here, Aunt Mae. I miss my family and my home. He's been... good to me, I guess? But... I don't know. I'm so confused, I hate this bond thing, it clouds my rational judgement," I shook my head with a frustrated breath.
She gave my hand another comforting squeeze, "there is one way, darling, but it's very painful.."
"What is it?" I quickly asked, before clearing my throat, "you know, just to know I have options..."
She looked down at her lap for a moment, "if you want to get out of here and back to your pack, avoiding the separation depression from being away from Damian who has already marked you, you can have another male sort of steal you".
"Steal me?" My brows were now furrowed, listening closely in hopes of understanding what she meant.
"If another male marks you over Damian's mark, you'll lose the bond you have with him. This, of course, will be extremely painful, and in most cases involves rape... but you of course would be doing this willingly, so..." she finished, her smile turning tightlipped.
"What would happen to Damian?" I couldn't help myself from asking this.
"He would die eventually from the pain and depression," she explained, and the thought caused me to feel sick and disgusted. I didn't want Alpha Damian to die, I guess.
"Oh.."
"I'll let you think about it. And also, I have no way of sending a message today back to our pack to tell them that you are marked and can't be brought back," she added, and I began shaking my head.
"Please don't tell my father, he'll be so disappointed," I found myself frowning, feeling disgusted with myself again.
"Oh, darling!" Aunt Mae let out a laugh, "he could never be disappointed in you! He's the one who was willing to risk his position as Alpha of the pack when your mother and him first started dating, it's a long story".
I smiled. Together, we talked a bit more in he doctor's office before there was a knock on the door and my name was called.
"Remember, there will be a raid tonight," she told me quietly as we hugged.
"I will. I'll see you soon, okay, Aunt Mae?" I replied, nodding.
"Yes, darling. Be safe".
With that, I left the doctor's office to be met with one of Damian's men. I didn't know what position he held in the pack, but still looked quite scary.
He grunted and nodded for me to follow him, so in silence I did.
"Alpha Damian's still in the meeting. He wants you to wait for him in the dining hall," he explained gruffly as we descended the stairs to the main floor.
"Alright, I'll be fine from here," I tried to assure him, hoping I'd get some alone time and could get to know this house a little more. Not really a house, more like some sort of a fortress and then castle, yet it was modern.
He gave me a small look, before nodding and walking away. Wow, that had been easy! I smiled to myself and began walking down a small and dark hallway.
I wondered what I'd do if I would get lost. Damian could easily find my scent, though, and come save me.
The small hallway opened up to a bigger room, almost like a waiting room? Just as I was making my way over to the large windows, a door opened and voices of men filled the room. I did recognise Damian's immediately, but also how it stopped when he saw me.
"Sofia?" He asked, murmuring something to his men and then making his way towards me. The men stared at me, all quiet, before walking past us and down the small hallway.
I turned to my mate and gave him a small and tightlipped smile, "hey, I was think-"
"Did Sam bring you here? I told him to-"
"No, no," I shook my head, also cutting him off, "I just wanted to come explore a bit".
Damian didn't look too pleased with that, but not angry.
"Don't do it again," his voice lowered as the last of his men disappeared down the hallway.
"I don't see why I can't.." I reasoned, but shut myself up as soon as he kissed me. Cupping my jaw, guiding me to turn around and press myself against the wall.
For some reason, I wasn't holding back and decided to kiss back. My hands landed on his chest where I could feel how his heart rate had accelerated.
I felt hot, so hot.
"Damian..." he was trailing kisses down my neck and to my mark. As soon as his lips met it, my eyes rolled back in pleasure and a breathy moan slipped my lips.
"How does that feel, Sofia?" He continued kissing it, sucking gently while he held our bodies incredibly close.
"Good. So good," I managed out, hands tugging at his hair for any type of relief.
"What was your meeting about?" I chocked out.
He grinned against my mark, "boring stuff. You're much more interesting..."
"I have an idea," I, for some stupid reason, pushed him back enough for him to pull back and find my eyes with his.
I felt like I was panting. "Let's leave for dinner. Drive somewhere".
Damian just studied me for a moment, before gently pecking my lips and then nodding.
