Logan's POV

The rain poured.
Drip.
It was cold, biting even. I heard the showers ring but that was it.

Damn.

That fear crept on me.
Drop.
I developed feelings.
Drip.
I fell into them.
Drop.
I could feel the impending danger of knowing that something was incorrect.
Drip.
I froze. My throat constricted. I could hear the blood pounding in my ears. Every muscle in my body screamed at me to flee, but I remained frozen.
Drop.
It was calm: too calm. The wind was still. The birds were tweeting. Everyone was smiling. There was no rush. There was no panic. It was calm. But it was exactly this calmness that triggered the tightness in my chest and the nagging voice in my head. I sat there fidgeting waiting for something bad to happen. Waiting for the sky to come crashing down. But nothing happened. The wind was still still. The birds were still tweeting. Everyone was still smiling. Well, everyone except for me.
Drip.
The noise of the shower hummed; it mixed with the trustful singing of Roman.
Drop.
Waiting for a scream. Waiting for a yell. Yet the only scream was from children down the street.
Drip.

Finally it stopped.

But I lost the quiet rhythm that kept me sane.

Without it now, I was gone.

I froze and had no ideal what to do, what was I feeling?

Terror?

Romans singing interrupted me.

"MM CREAMY SALT!"

What.

"HOW MUCH I LOVE YA CREAMY SALT!"

Is that a euphemism?

"ILL PUT IT ON A HAMBURGER!"

No.

I stepped from my chair.

Ro.
"Can you hear me?"
Yes. Is it a euphemism?
"WHAT THE- NO. I THOUGHT YOU WERE THE NORMAL ONE!"

Suddenly a knock killed my thoughts.

"Patton!"

He was holding Virgil.

"Is he ok?" I asked,
"Yeah... I'm fine." Virgil smiled weakly,
"Ok!"

Virgil's POV

I finally felt able to stand.

I looked at my friends.

Now I could.

That night, I went to my room.

With Patton.
