Mona
The night carried on after drinking from a fresh vein beside the Monarch. A night ago, Mona would never attempt to share a drink with the Monarch. It was strange being in this position now. She wanted to explore the palace but felt it would be some form of betrayal. Instead, Mona sat in her room.
After a few hours, Mona looked at the clock on the nightstand. It was not even ten at night. Giving in, Mona left her chambers in hope to find something to do. She wasn't use to being a homebody. She walked down to the second floor, hearing laughter come from the hall. Her chambers were on the forth floor. One floor below the Monarch's where she had the whole floor to herself.
She saw what looked like a game room. There was a few vampires playing cards. While others watched tv and laughed at the show. Mona peeked her head through, seeing such happiness in their eyes. Did they know their beloved Monarch was holding her against her will. What was they so happy about?
"You gonna keep peeking or come it?" One of the women, watched Mona peek out again and waved her to come over. Mona did so, walking into the open large room. Everyone lifted their eyes to her and then went back to what they were doing. "I'm Cameron. You most be our Monarch's guest, Mona."
"Guest. Is that what she calls me?" Mona snorted.
Cameron shrugged. "Fine. The vampire who is famous for slaughter no good human men." She smiled cheeky. Mona was surprised she knew the truth. By all their smirks, they were all aware.
"I get it. The Monarch is a arrogant bitch ninety percent of the time, but she trust us with the truth when we need to know."
Mona doubted that but said nothing. "She's an arrogant bitch, one hundred percent of the time."
The Monarch chose that moment to walk in. "Only to those who are not appreciative," she stared at Mona, hotly. Mona made her blood boil sometimes. Every time they met, the Monarch never knew rather to fuck Mona or stake her. She usually acted unaffected. Being amongst her vampires, the Monarch, held a boastful expression. "Come with me."
Sneering, Mona stood and walked out. She followed the Monarch out, hearing the vampire Cameron whisper, good luck.
Out of eye sight and ears reach, the Monarch slammed Mona into the wall, hand firm around her throat. "You can insult me to my face. But never to my vampires." Touching Mona became to much. She let go but did not back away. The Monarch eyes lingered on Mona's for a harsh second. "I work hard each night, to gain and keep my vampires respect. Do not try and jeopardize that."
It was very true, the Monarch cared what her vampires thought of her. That is why she backed off months ago, after Renee kidnapped Kaliska. "Then make me see you in a new light. Tell me where my sire is?"
The Monarch snickered. She wondered how long it would take for Mona to request that. "All in due time."
"Why are you holding him? He does not belong to you."
"Keep speaking to me as if we are equal, and I will remind you, that we are not." The Monarch hissed. This vampire had not reached her first century yet and she spoke as if they were from the same maker. Standing so close to Mona, she wanted to touch her again, but in an intimate caress.
Mona could see something shift in her eyes. It scared her, unable to read it. "What do you want from me?" Mona ask for the seventh time.
Many things, the Monarch thought.
When she did not answer, Mona asked again, this time standing straighter. The Monarch was an inch or two taller. "Whatever reason you are keeping me here, there's nothing I can give you."
