Adrien, hon, I love you and all, but the nightmare version of you was CREEPY. Hence why I am writing instead of sleep: I don't want nightmares. Okay, here we go.
Moon was curled against Qibli when the new students came.
"Moon!" Kinkajou shouted. "Umber's back!" (A/N oooooh, DRAMA.)
"Umber?" she asked. Crap. I'm dating his crush.
"Hey," said the shy MudWing. Qibli grabbed Moon's hand and yanked her to her feet.
"Hi, Umber!" Qibli said. Moon silently prayed Umber hadn't seen her Instagram lately. There had been lots of photos of the two of them lately. There was one, courtesy of Kinkajou, of their linked hands in front of the sunset. There was one of her eyes and his, locked on each other. And there was her favorite, one where she had her eyes closed and a big smile on her face, clearly laughing, while Qibli pressed a kiss against her temple.
"Wow. Moon, I almost didn't recognize you," said Umber. Moon touched her hair, which she had stopped relaxing. It had gotten big and curly, and she loved it. Even tightly curled, though, it still hung to her waist.
"She looks amazing, doesn't she," said Qibli fondly.
"Oh, um, yeah," said Umber. She's not the only one, said his brain, and Moon got a flash of longing and heartbreak.
Poor Umber.
Okay, so that was really short. But I'm tired. I'm gonna go to bed and pray that nightmare Adrien doesn't come to visit. Wish me luck!
