So this is a Turtlejou chapter, but I also wanted to introduce something new. I ship Turtlewatcher, but like, as best friends. So I'm sort of putting this here? If you want a one-shot where they're just hanging out, then comment.

Everyone knew Kinkajou as the rainbow little spitfire with seemingly limitless energy. And normally, that's what she was. Not in the mornings.

Turtle always had the house to himself in the mornings. He fondly remembered how he'd share these mornings with Moon in college. They'd talk about her best friend, John, and how he was madly in love with his roommate, Alex, and come up with schemes to get them dating. She coached him when he wanted to ask Kinkajou out, and he was the first person she told when Qibli asked her out. Many people thought there was something between them, especially her close friends whom she called her sisters, Angelica, Eliza, and Peggy, but never.

Those mornings were long gone, though. They'd grown up, graduated, gotten married (not to each other), and now Moon had four-year-old twin boys and Kinkajou was 11 weeks pregnant. But the two still met up often for coffee.

Speak of the devil... Kinkajou stumbled into the kitchen, then ran out and into the bathroom. Turtle heard vomiting, and he followed her in.

"Hey, beautiful," he said soothingly, rubbing her back as she emptied the contents of her stomach into the toilet. After a few minutes, she got up, sighing.

"How on Earth did Moon survive being pregnant with twins," she asked, her voice hoarse with puke and sleepiness.

He smiled. "I don't think the number of children has anything to do with it," he pointed out. She swatted at him, and he ducked away, grinning.

"What's for breakfast?" she asked.

He led her into the kitchen. "Fried eggs and toast. Oh, and soy bacon." She grabbed a mango and started slicing it while he made them plates and snuck glances at her stomach.

She glanced over at him. "Stop acting like a criminal, it's your baby, too. You can look." He grinned sheepishly.

"It's just... weird," he confessed.

She rolled her eyes. "It was weird enough when Moon was pregnant. Let's not add the weirdness to the Jade Winglet this time."

"But they were the first ones to have kids," he protested. "It was like all of us were about to have a kid. And then two."

She threw a dishrag at him. "I meant in our household, genius."

He let her dump mango chunks on his plate. "I can't help it!"

"Okay, what do we have to do today?" she asked.

"You know plenty well, you've been talking about it for weeks," he answered. "You know how you want to do the reveal?"

She bit into her toast. "I dunno... maybe a cake?"

"Neither of us can bake."

"Moon can!"

"Weren't we gonna punish her by making her wait to find out the gender cuz she and Qibli wanted to keep the twins' genders a secret?"

"Oh, yeah. A box of balloons?"

"Well... you think Moon and Qibli would let us borrow Connor?"

"And decorate him in blue or pink?"

"Well, Connor if it's a boy, Zoe if it's a girl." Yes, the equestrian in me has a headcanon that Moon and Qibli have horses, and the DEH fan says their names are Zoe and Connor.

Kinkajou grinned across the table at her husband. "Perfect."

Their phones buzzed suddenly. A message in the group chat, from Qibli.

BiAce (Qibli): What's the fastest and easiest way to get a four-year-old boy out of bed?

Kinky! (Kinkajou): You're the one with a four-year-old boy.

PanAce (Moon): Didja tell him I made pancakes?

BiAce: Multiple times. Help!

PanAce: Ha! It was hard enough getting Desert out of bed. Good luck with Cactus.

Turtleboi (Turtle): No, this would be helpful information if our baby's a boy. How do you get a four-year-old boy out of bed?

Frosty (Winter): Dunno.

Frostette (Lynx): Dunno.

BiAce: Oh, so helpful, guys.

Frosty: Sorry.

Frostette: Sorry.

PanAce: Just pick him up and drag him out of bed!

Kinky!: What?!? That's mean!

PanAce: Trust me, once you have kids, you'll understand.

BiAce: Yeah, they're kind of a pair of pains.

Kinky!: Shush! I'd like to look forward to this!

Turtleboi: Ditto.

BiAce: Success!

PanAce: I'm always right.

BiAce: True.

Frosty: True.

Frostette: True.

Kinky!: True.

Turtleboi: True.

PanAce: I can't tell if you're messing with me or not.

BiAce: They are. I'm not.

PanAce: *skeptical*

Turtleboi: Uh, better go!

Kinky!: Yeah!

Frosty: Same!

Frostette: Ditto!

BiAce: No, don't leave me!

Smoky (Peril): What'd I miss?

Smoky: Hello?

Smoky: Ah, well.

Kinkajou giggled. "Poor Moon and Qibli."

"Praying for a girl?"

"Oh, yes."

Didja like it? Also, should I make a story about what happens to the Jade Winglet after college? Also, pancakes or French toast? I personally love French toast. One last thing: I have a lesbian original love story, so if you'd like to read it...
