Not a One-Shot

Not a one-shot, obvi, but I just wanted to point out this difference between Winter and Qibli.

Qibli: Worries about Moon getting a headache, would rather have her safe than anything (you can't tell her stuff like that! It's not safe for her!), makes bad puns and jokes (honestly, I'm a sucker for puns (if only Ladybug was, too, or Cat Noir would have gotten her a while ago)), wants only the best for her even if it means he loses her, the PERFECT FIT (more on that later)

Winter: It never even occurs to him to worry about her getting overwhelmed, wants her to use her powers for him, insists on telling her stuff it's unsafe for her to know, serious as heck, purposefully tries to scare her in the days after he meets her

Why Qibli and Moon balance each other perfectly: They're similar enough that they don't fight much, but different enough that it spices things up a bit, and make the other stronger. She's shy and quiet, but he would help bring her out of her shell a bit, while she could keep him in check. They both care about other dragons more than most people do. They're both really intelligent, but in different ways: he's got more street smarts, she's got more book smarts. He can protect her, but she can keep a close watch on him. He supports her no matter what, but that doesn't stop him from telling her what he thinks. He would never dream of yelling at her. He stands up for her no matter what, even if he has to fight with his best friend. He's flirtatious and silly, and can always, always make her laugh, even if she's crying her eyes out. He's very confident, but she's the only thing that makes him self-conscious. He's loyal, and would stick by her side no matter what (he wouldn't abandon her to defend a tribe that hates him coughcoughWINTERcoughcough).

I will always, ALWAYS love Moonbli.

Plus, um, POWER COUPLE OF THE YEAR. Can you imagine them setting Turtlejou up on a date, then hiding in the bushes and doing the "POUND IT" thing from Miraculous when they kiss? Or just facepalming and glancing at each other every time Blue and Cricket accidentally do something adorable and fail to notice each other's feelings? Or him comforting her while she sobs because she just found out (HARRY POTTER SPOILERS) that Lily was pregnant with her second child when You-Know-Who killed her, and that she'd convinced James to make Snape the godfather? Or them falling asleep in each other's arms because "it was cold" (which Kinkajou doesn't buy AT ALL)? Or Qibli telling their son/daughter dumb jokes and Moon covering his/her ears and saying, "You're corrupting *insert child name here*"? Or Qibli melting when he sees their new dragonet and being like "I CAN'T DO IT MOON, SHE'S TOO CUTE."? Or him hearing singing in the middle of the night, and goes outside to find Moon singing Hamilton songs (because she would totally be complete Hamiltrash like me)? Or him saving up for months to get her tickets to Hamilton, and then her freaking out and going into 100% fangirl mode?

Or reading the Wings of Fire series, and her looking at him like, "You have an unhealthy obsession with me."

GASP. What if he called her "princess" or "moonbeam" but refusing to let her call him anything but Qibli "because I like hearing you say my name"?

THE FEELS.

I have a problem.

Also, I don't think I'm going to continue the new students story, at least not in this book, because it's supposed to be a book of one-shots.
