Your P.O.V:

Well this is it, I'm done for. Jeremiah had succeeded in turning Gotham into a mad house. He blew up the bridges leading in and out of the biggest part of Gotham city. Leaving many civilians including myself here without barely any resources and having to fight for whatever's useful with homicidal criminals. But I somehow manage. There's a sanctuary in the GCPD building where you can seek shelter, a warm meal, medicine, and safety. But sometimes it's a struggle. I'm happy to say that I live there, but since word got out about this place it's getting more jam packed with people. Most new refugees are often starving and injured so that of course leaves to shortages and supplies. Jim Gordon is the leader of the sanctuary and made that situation very clear as well as he is refusing to turn away anybody because of it. So he asked for volunteers to venture out and gather food and medication for the rest of us. I was one of those volunteers. I wasn't scared to go out side like the rest and I also had a lot of experience scavenging. I was best friends with Selena Kyle and lived on the streets working as a team before all this went down. So I thought it was more than qualified for the job. So I was in charge of retrieving medical supplies. Jim gave us a rundown of what to do and where to go as well as equipped us with rations to last a day and a gun with one full round just in case we run into trouble. After that we were on our own. I've been out a few times retrieving whatever I could find from drug stores and the hospital, but unlike the others it wasn't the gangs I had to worry about but rather the terrain, more specifically the temperature. My daily journey was on the west side of the city, right where firefly and Mr. Freeze were feuding over territory. It looked like half of hell was frozen over covering everything in snow and ice, while the other half is still burning bright with flames and ash everywhere. Both were different extremes but both were equally abandoned and eerie. But I dressed up as best as I could and ventured regardless. Most days it would feel like a ghost town but today was anything but still and quiet.

I was on firefly side on my way back from a drugstore I found today when firefly came out of nowhere and started waving her flamethrower at me. "Haven't you heard?! Trespassers get torched!" She said with a laugh. I ran as fast as I could and hid behind one of the abandoned cars on the street while I got my gun out and ready. Once I was ready I glanced to the direction from where I came from but she was nowhere to be seen. I crouched and made my way to the front of the car. I peaked over the hood to see her on the other side of the car aiming her flamethrower at the car. My eyes widen when she spotted me and I sprinted away just in time as her frames touch the car causing it to explode sending it sky high. But I wasn't quick enough to get away and some of the shrapnel from the car went flying into the side of my leg. I screamed out in pain but I didn't stop moving. I turned around and shot at her fuel tanks on her back but missed. I turned back around and begin to run as best as I could to find another less flammable hiding spot. I ran onto one of the main roads that was an outline of Mr. Freezes and firefly sides, but she was not backing down. Her and her flames right on my heels. As I cross into Freezes side with her following I started to look for places to hide when out of the corner of my eye I saw something move. I turn my attention in that direction to see none other than Mr. Freeze himself in his terrifying suit with his ice gun quickly walking my way. Oh God I'm screwed. I am so screwed! I jumped back into reality quickly when I felt the end of fireflies flames burn the back of my good thigh. I screamed in pain as I fell onto the floor, but I never stopped moving. I turned around to face her as I crawled away. It took me everything I had to continue to move my legs and not scream out in pain. She slowly walked up to me with a satisfying smile painted on her face. She aimed her flamethrower at me and was about to fire went out of nowhere a ray of ice hit her weapon incasing it in a thick clear of ice. I look over to see Mr. freeze 10 feet away from me now. Damn I forgot about him. My brain went into overdrive as I started to back up faster in a panic. The only thing in my mind was to run. As I scrambled back on the ground he stood in front of firefly not seeming to mind I was here. "What do you think you're doing?" Mr. freeze asked with his voice raised. "I had a trespasser so I was taking care of her."She replied annoyed. "Well now it looks like you're the one trespassing." "Are you serious! You're letting her get away!" "And I'll deal with her later but for now, we have a problem. We have an agreement, you stay on your side and I still on mine.-" Mr. Freeze continued to talk but I wasn't going to sit around to find out what he was going to say. Using what strength I had left I got up off the floor and made a run for it down the street. Hoping he wouldn't turn around and freeze me where I stood. I made it down the street but my energy was wearing out. If I keep this up I'll never make it back to the sanctuary. I quickly decided to take shelter in a small flower shop for now. I was shocked I got the door open. The place was covered in a thin layer of ice. Inside was the same. Every surface was covered in a clear sheet of ice. The flowers were still up in the same position as it was when they were new. The ice made it look like everything was covered in glass. Only adding to the beauty of them, but I can't think about that now. I'm hobble to the cashiers counter and sat down on the floor, leaning my back up against it. I grab my bag and put it to the side of me seeing if firefly damaged it. Thank God she didn't. I looked at my thighs and was shocked at what I saw. One was badly burned while the other had big pieces of glass sticking out of it. I looked at my Supplies in my bag and saw that what I had wasn't enough to fix me up. So I would have to wait until I get back. Talk about a waste of a trip. If TV has taught me anything it's that if you don't have the supplies The glass is better left kept in the wound. I started to feel dizzy all of a sudden and I can't find the energy to stay awake. I'm not bleeding out so no problem there but the pain is getting unbearable. I lost my train of thought as I noticed the room going black.
