The void

You know the feeling when you're about to cry? That feeling that goes deep in your gut, like something is forcing it up.

The feeling of tears burning in your eye, threatening to spill over and all you can do is sit there, hold it in and pretend like everything is fine.

But you can still feel the familiar burning dryness in your throat and when you finally can let it out it flows like a waterfall and it feels good. Welcoming. Familiar. Comforting almost.

Feeling weary. Feeling the tiredness and sorrow take over. Rocking you back and forth into sleep. Into the void.

Until you have to do it all over again. A daily process. Forever. Until you're dead.
