"Alright, so what should I do?"
"You came to the right person, my friend." Ten smiled cockily at the older boy who requested his help.
Taeyong, even though looking like the hardest and most intimidating person on Earth, was very soft and shy, and it didn't help that he got so nervous around you.
It all began when you were both trainees and you saw each other often in the hallways of the SM building. Then, little waves and smiles started being shared between each other, until eventually he debuted and you got worried he wouldn't care about a trainee. He was finally an idol after all and therefore your sunbae, which made you feel quite intimidated by his position. Yet, what you didn't expect, was that everything was just the same. Actually, even better than before.
Taeyong, being an idol, had a little less pressure on him since he didn't have to worry about debuting anymore, so he would try to find you quickly between breaks to either say hello to you or to give you a hug, maybe a little kiss on the cheek if he was brave enough to do so.
Those little moments remained until you debuted with your other members two years later. Your group, 여자 게임 or Girl Games in english, debuted and had massive success. You finally became an idol and you were finally equal to Taeyong, who unfortunately had become quite distant.
You didn't know why he stopped coming so often as he constantly texted you through his breaks, but why would he text instead of just doing what he always did which was to physically go to you and say hello?
His texts were just as sweet as he was in person and even though you didn't really miss him because you were always in contact and you saw each other everyday, you missed him physically, especially because his hugs had become more than just arms wrapped around one another's bodies. He would whisper in your ear encouraging words whenever he visited you before you debuted, letting you know that you could make it and that you would be the most amazing leader if you debuted in a group. One hand would rest in the middle of your back while the other often caressed your hair soothingly. Once he even pecked your neck, which was unexpected, but not unwanted.
You started catching feelings for the boy for obvious reasons and you didn't want to lose contact with him like you had lost physical contact, so you never mentioned it to him.
Little did you know, that the reason he didn't go meet with you was because he was nervous. Crippling nervousness, nearly. He would even walk faster in the hallways to prevent being seen by you, and that's why he finally decided to speak to Ten.
Ten was confident and a good friend of yours. He knew you very well and he never felt ashamed with you.
"First of all, what are you planning on doing? A date? A quick confession? Through text? In person?" He rambled which made Taeyong a little more uneasy with so many options.
"Maybe... I don't know. What does she like?" Taeyong hesitated.
He wanted it to be perfect. He wanted to make it clear right away that he liked you so that he didn't have to repeat himself.
"Maybe? Maybe to what? I gave you four suggestions." Ten furrowed his eyebrows.
"I don't know, man! I just want to convey the message quickly and clearly." He explained.
Ten leaned back in his chair and thought about it for a few seconds until he leaned forward again.
"Ok, I know what you can do."
----
"Are you sure this is going to work? I don't want her to feel weirded out." Taeyong fiddled with the car keys he hand in his hand.
Ten and Taeyong stood in the middle of the parking lot next to Taeyong's car, waiting for the girls to come out of the building.
"Listen, it's only weird if you make it weird." Ten stated as he dusted the inexistent dust off of Taeyong's shoulders and adjusted his plain t-shirt. "Just try to be Taeyong and not Lee Taeyong. Taeyong's a whole confident bitch while Lee Taeyong is a soft little fluff ball that wouldn't dare to kill a fly. Now, I'm going to be right by your side, just a little bit behind you so it doesn't get too weird."
Taeyong simply nodded and turned around. Not a minute later, your group started to leave the building while chitter chatting with each other about nonsense. You spoke with the member you were the closest to.
"Go." Ten pushed lightly.
Taeyong looked back nervously but he soon approached you.
Your eyes glistened and you smiled widely as he finally approached you again after so long.
"Hi. Uhm... (Y/n), are you, perhaps, free right now, to go with me somewhere?" He avoided eye contact.
You chuckled at his nervous voice and dreamily admired his perfect features, until one of your members cleared her throat reminding you to reply to him.
"Sorry, me and the girls were actually going to have a movie night tonight since we have a free day tomorrow." You spoke with slight sadness.
"Ah, I understand." He quickly turned around and walked away from the group of girls passing by Ten, ignoring him.
Ten pulled him back, though, and scolded him.
"Are you dumb? So you just give up at the first try? You have to be Taeyong. It's not a 'sorry, movie night' excuse that will stop you. No, no, no. You're getting back there and tell her that movie can can be any night except for tonight." He whispered with anger soaking his words.
While where you and your group members stood, you were also being scolded by a younger member.
"You idiot! So you haven't had any sort of physical interaction with him in weeks and now that you finally get to be with him you say you're busy. Are you thick?"
"When you cleared your throat I thought you wanted me to be quick." You replied.
"Yeah, be quick to ditch us, dumbass. Oh, here he comes, make sure you leave with him." She turned you around hastily.
Taeyong's steps weren't the most confident, and neither was his facial expression, but his mind had one goal only: doing as Ten said.
"Hum... Sorry, but Ten told me that you can watch a movie with your group another night." He spoke playing with his fingers.
"No! It wasn't me! It's all him!" Ten shouted from far away pointing at Taeyong while the girls behind you hid their giggles behind their hands.
"Well, then... It wasn't Ten, it was me. So, do you want to come with me?" He finished.
You felt your cheeks heating up slightly out of nervousness.
"Ok, sure. I can skip the movie." You smiled at him and his face lit up.
"Great! I mean, for me at least. I'm sorry about ruining your movie night." Taeyong explain to your group members.
"Ah, don't worry, really. Take her and take your time. Now go!" One of the younger members pushed you towards the boy in front of you but you didn't bother to complain like you'd usually do.
You and Taeyong started walking to the car. He tried to hold your hand but when you lifted it to scratch yourself, he pulled away and kept his hand in his pocket for the rest of the short walk to his car.
His planned date was about to start.
