Jungwoo loved everything about Christmas. From the food to the family games and the all around joy that everybody felt and spread for at least a couple of weeks. However, Jungwoo was still a child at heart, and the present exchange was his absolute favorite Christmas activity.
He just loved to see the absolute glee in people's faces when he was able to get them the right present. Jungwoo loved to receive some hugs from the people who loved his gift right after opening it, and it had been like that ever since he first bought something for his parents with his own hard earned money.
You too loved all the things that had to do with Christmas, but the whole gift exchange made you stressful. What if they don't like it? What if they lie about it? What if they throw it out? What if it's a size under? What if it's too big? What if they dislike the color? What if it's too cheap? All those questions flooded your mind whenever you even thought about buying something for someone, that's why you rarely participated in the gift exchange. Your friends would organize secret Santa's all the time but you never participated not wanting to be gifted an amazing thing, just to disappoint the person you had to give something to.
This year, it was the first Christmas you'd be spending with your boyfriend and there was absolutely no way you'd be able to escape giving him a gift. Jungwoo insisted so much with you. He would tell you countless times how much he wouldn't be able to hate anything you'd give him and that even it was something kind of 'meh' that the thought was what counted and that he would appreciate it with all his heart. Even though it somewhat helped you calm yourself, you couldn't help but overthink the situation.
From what you had heard, Jungwoo was the best present giver of all time. He listened to attentively to his friends throughout the whole year that he would remember things they wanted and/or needed from the beginning of the year until it was Christmas time. One time, one of his friends playfully mentioned right after Christmas that he wanted to spend time with his wife in Busan. The next Christmas, Jungwoo had bought him train tickets for him and his wife to Busan. They were ecstatic. Another time, his uncle mentioned needing floaties in the middle of summer because he wanted to teach his kids how to swim. In that Christmas, Jungwoo bought him two pairs for his son and daughter.
He was simply the best, and that's why you were trying to catch your breath in the bathroom when one of his friends, Johnny, announced that it was time to trade presents.
"Y/n, come out, I'm sure he's going tolove it." Doyoung tried his best to bring you out.
"I really don't want him to be upset with me if he gives me something expensive and beautiful and I give him my gift." You fanned yourself.
