Once again you were up late at night working on your college work. Your thesis was coming along nicely but you couldn't help but worry. Thankfully for you, your phone started to ring, giving you the perfect excuse to take a well deserved break.

Looking at the number on your screen you were a bit hesitant to pick it up as it wasn't saved in your contacts. You picked it up nevertheless. "Hello?"

"Y/n! My dear, it's been a really long time!" The voice of a woman startled you with the joyful tone it possessed.

"Um, I'm sorry, who is this?" You asked awkwardly as the person on the other side seemed to know you.

"It's Johnny's mom! Do you remember my son? You went to school together." The person finally revealed her identity and a switch flipped in your mind as you immediately recognized the voice. "You were great friends, right?"

"Oh, hi, Mrs. Seo! We haven't spoken in a while! Yeah, Johnny was a great friend of mine." You replied with a tone similar to her own.

"How good to hear your voice. How have you been?" The lady asked.

"I've been doing good, I guess. College is going alright. I'm confident I'll be finishing this year." You somewhat bragged. "What about you, Mrs. Seo? Have you been doing alright? Has John been talking to you?"

After a loud gasp, she replied to your question. "That's exactly why I wanted to talk to you. I have been good, yes, my dear, but Johnny is visiting us in a couple of weeks and I know he would be so happy to meet you again! He seems to miss his friends from time to time."

"Aw, I would love to, but I don't think I can make it. I have an exam at the end of the month." Sadly, you informed her.

Oh, how you would absolutely love to visit the Seo family, especially Johnny as you had been great friends nearly from day one, but you had to have priorities.

"Y/n, I know you are terribly busy, but do this one thing for my son. He misses you very much." She persisted.

You simply sighed. You had to admit that you missed Johnny just as much. Maybe you could make something work.

"Alright. Text me the date and time and I'll let you know, Mrs. Seo."

"Thank you so much, honey! We love you very much." You told her the same and started saying your goodbyes getting ready to cram as much as you could before you went to Chicago.

After hanging up, she immediately texted you the details of when he would be arriving. You were actually going to meet him again after so long.

"It's good to see you too, Mrs. Seo." She held your arm and started walking along with you back to the car where her husband was waiting.

As you exited the airport, your eyes landed on the man you hadn't seen in so long. Johnny's dad was standing next to their car with his hands in his pockets but as soon as he saw you with his wife glued to your side, he smiled.
