The new college was scary for Riku. It was far from home, busy and his dorm was very cramped for him and his roommate Osaka Sougo.
The only good thing that came from this, was the bakery-cafe next door. The smell of baking and coffee was always pleasant to wake up to and Sougo was more than happy to pick up drinks every morning.
However, this particular morning, Sougo had an early class. This meant that Riku had to stand up to his social anxiety and order some coffee himself.
It wasn't hard and he knew that. He was wearing his white shirt, blue jacket with pins on and a grey hood, along with red converse and grey skinny jeans.
He looked like your everyday bright coloured, punk rock, edgy teen kid.
Pulling his rucksack onto his back, Riku left the dorm, shutting and locking the door. He jogged lightly down the stairs; double checking he had his inhaler.
With a slight cough, he stepped into the chilling Autumn air,his hands numbing instantly. He didn't mind too much, since it was perfect weather for coffee.
He walked a couple of steps and opened the door to the bakery-cafe next door. He waited in the small line.
A small boy with pinkish-ginger hair was serving, yelling at a foreign boy that kept stealing kisses inbetween customers.
Two people before Riku, though, the small boy had switched with a taller boy. He had raven coloured hair and sharp features.
His eyes were the same colour as his hair, sharp and disinterested. His voice was soft yet deep, jawline sharp and lips a pretty pink to contrast his slightly paler skin.
Riku was in awe as he stared at the boy. He appeared to still be in high school, possibly only a year younger than Riku.
"May I help you?" He asked, looking at Riku who was close to drueling over the floor.
"A-ah. A coffee p-please." Riku stuttered, averting his eyes in embarrassment, fiddling with the pins on his jacket.
"Name?" The guy asked, holding a pen up to the cup, a hint of amusement in his voice,as If he were teasing Riku.
"N-Nanase Riku" he heaved out. His breathing was heavy and he hoped to high heavens he didn't have an athsma attack. Especially not in front of the pretty boy.
"I see. Please wait over there" the boy said with a smirk, clearly scheming something for Riku.
Riku calmed his flushing face down and managed to steady his breathing. He received the cup minutes later, with the name "N-Nanase Riku" plastered onto it.
Sighing with a blush of embarrassment, Riku looked over to the boy behind the desk.
"Izumi Iori..." Riku breathed out, noting that name in the back of his mind. He had a brisk walk to his first class, sipping the coffee and enjoying the morning air.
What he didn't know, was soon after he left, the Izumi Iori was soon caught out.
"So he was cute, huh?" The shorter male asked, leaning on the side with an all-knowing smirk, hip pushed out to the right and left elbow leaning on the counter.
The morning rush was over and the two were now coming back down stress heaven.
"I don't know what you mean,Nii-San" Iori said, lifting his chin up confidently, crossing his arms and looking away, a tiny blush forcing its way over his face.
Sighing and shaking his head, the boy stood up straight. "The way you express love will get you into trouble one day" he lectured;adding "And the shop."
