"Old friends"

Edward sat at the dinner table with Alphonse, studying alchemy of course. The previous 'situation' from before had melted away and not a word had been said since. Which Edward and Winry were quite pleased about.

Innocence walked in and grabbed a glass of water from the sink. She looked much better then she did the day we rescued her. But she's talked very little and we still knew nothing about her.

"Hello innocence, how did you sleep?" Alphonse asked in a friendly tone, looking up from his book.

"Fine thank you" she replied in a small voice. She stood at the sink a stared out the window. Her gaze was strong and rather creepy.

Ed and Al looked at each other with puzzled expressions.

Innocence left the room silently and walked out of the house, making her way out to the back yard. She had been going out there a lot recently but Ed thought nothing of it.

"I'm honestly so board Al" Edward complained as he dropped his head onto the table.

"Mmm I know what you mean brother, some excitement would be nice around here." Alphonse said.

As the two brothers sat hopelessly at the table, Winry walked in carrying a large basket of newly washed clothes. She stood with her free hand on her hip and scowled at the two depressing excuses of human beings.

"Why don't you two find something to do instead of moping around the house all day." Winry exclaimed.

"Eh get off my back women, I'm still tired from last nigh- Ow!" Edward cried out in pain as Winry cracked a wrench over his head before he could finish his sentence.

"We could go for a walk down the road?" Alphonse exclaimed.

"Oh good idea Al!" Winry said excitedly and dropped her basket on the table.

"Yeah sounds exciting" Edward stated sarcastically, still holding his head in pain

"Alright sounds like a plan, I'll go get my coat" Alphonse said happily as he stood up from his seat and ran too the door.

Edward groaned in annoyance and dropped his head onto the table again. This was going to be a pain in Edwards ass.

The sun was shining through the clouds and the breeze was warm and welcoming on Edwards face. His hand intertwined with Winrys as they walked along the golden dirt road together, Alphonse skipping out In front of them.

"Oh this brings back memories doesn't it guys?" Alphonse laughed.

"Yeah I guess it does" Edward exclaimed as he remembered all the thing they did when they were younger. All the picnics and swimming trips and fights over Winry they had. Ahh good times.

"Oh look what's that?" Winry said, pointing towards what looked like a broken down vehicle.

We all started running towards the object when I stopped dead in my tracks.

"Oh Roy your not only useless in wet weather, now get the damn car started" said a very flustered Riza Hawkeye from inside the car.

Edward caught up with the others who were now at the car. And that's when Ed saw him. Colonel Roy Mustang, covered in car grease and flustered as all hell. All Edward could do was laugh.

Roy looked up In shock to find the three friends grinning huge smiles at him.

"Well it's been a while hasn't it Fullmetal" Roy exclaimed with a smile on his face, whipping grease from his forehead.

"It sure has colonel" Edward said and shook the mans hand.

"Oh Fullmetal what a pleasant surprise" Riza smiled as she got out of the car. And oh how she has changed.

"Oh miss Hawkeye your pregnant!" Winry squealed as she hugged lieutenant Hawkeye with excitement.

Ed and Al congratulated Riza and Roy on there uh achievement (guess you can call it that) and Winry headed towards the car and worked her Automail magic on it. Al and Ed sat on the boot of the car with Roy.

"So what brings you out too Resembool?" Alphonse asked Roy.

"Well were actually on a assignment from the higher up's" Roy exclaimed. "There's been sightings of a young alchemist who's on rampage out in these areas."

Ed and Al looked at each other with worried expressions on there faces.

"It looks too me Elric's that you know something about this" Roy questioned us.

"Well a couple of days ago we had a run in with a young man in the market" Edward said.

"He attacked a young girl and escaped" Alphonse continued.

Roy had an expression of deep thought. "Do you know were this girl is now?" Roy asked the brothers.

"Yeah she's been staying at our place since the incident." Edward said.

"Alright guys the cars fixed!" Winry shouted to us.

"Good, because were gonna pay a little visit to the Rockbell estate" Roy exclaimed.

As they all piled into the car, Roy drove on down the road towards the Rockbell home.

And unfortunately, Edward had that bad feeling in his stomach again.
