I was in hospital recovering from my surgery,yes I had been diagnosed with early stages of lung cancer and my parents had insisted on my surgery. I opened my eyes and looked around spotting a nurse standing at the table at the far end of my room.

I coughed to try and catch her attention.
"Oh,You are awake darling"She said walking towards me and placing a hand on my forehead.
"You can call me Cindy. Everyone has been waiting to see you"

"Has?"

"You were in a coma for three days after your surgery. This is the forth"She said with an endearing smile."Lemme call the doctor"

Soon as she walked out,China walked in in black sweatpants and black boots. She had a packet of my favorite chilli crisps in hand.

"Hi love"She hugged me placing the bag in my hands. I opened it and popped one in my mouth.
"I missed you idiot"She exclaimed still lying next to me.

We heard the door open and Cindy walked in.
"You are not supposed to have chilli food until you're completely fine"she said snatching the bag.
"But Cindy"I gave her puppy eyes.

"Just this one. China,what are you doing in here?"

"Wanted to see my best friend"

"The doctor will be here soon"She pushed China outside just as a tall man,I guess the doctor walked in and did a couple of tests on me while jotting them down.
"Seems you are doing fine boy"he smiled at me and walked towards Cindy.

"He can be seen now,though I suggest one by one"he announced to whoever was outside. I felt some talking then Liam walked in. How much I had missed him those days I hadn't seen him.

"Hey baby"He said walking with that saunter I loved

"Excuse me,who are you?"I asked feigning amnesia.
"What?You can't.."
"Of course I do baby. Come here"I said opening my arms. His face regained his usual charm and he went straight to my arms and started tickling me softly.

"I thought you lost your brain you idiot"he accused kissing my lips lightly but I pulled him to a long kiss.
"I had missed you"I smiled gasping for air.
"Me most. Lemme give your parents time to see you. I'll be back"he said not even trying to get up.

"Okay"
"I love you"
"I love you Liam"I echoed as he let go my hand and walked out.

"Mum,Dad"They walked to each side of the bed and hugged me.
"How are you doing son?"Dad asked looking at me. I could sense they were crying.
"I'm fine guys"I laughed.
"Of course you are. We missed you back home"

"I missed you too. A lot"we bundled up in a group hug. I felt extra arms up on me and turned to find my sister.
"Hi"She laughed"I know if I had missed that I wouldn't get another one after you are out of here"

My parents walked out leaving my sister with me. Soon China walked in.
"Your boyfriend has been worried"Jasmine said grabbing the bag of crisps from my bedside table.
"He thought you were dead. We haven't been having peace in school"China added.

Liam walked in later and we cuddled senselessly. Just kidding we just cuddled for a bit before he told me some silly made up stories..
