9. Mad Scientists

THOR POV:
Stark, the Captain and I, arrive where a man is talking with Ultron, we can hear Ultron's robotic voice as we approach "...Stark is, he's sickness!" Stark lands in his suit "Ahh Junior, you're gonna break your old man's heart." "If I have to." I speak "We don't have to break anything." "Clearly you've never made an omelette." Stark huffs "He beat me on it by one second." The almost-white haired boy speaks in a strange accent "Ah, this is funny, Mr Stark. It's what, comfortable? Like old times?" Stark retaliates "This was never my life." The Captain steps forward "You two can still walk away from this." The girl narrows her eyes "Oh, we will." "I know you've suffered."

How did he rope children into this? For what reason are they apart of this?

Ultron groans "Captain America! God's righteous man, pretending you could live without a war. I can't physically throw up in my mouth, but-" I interrupt "If you believe in peace, then let us keep it." "I think you're confusing peace with quiet." Stark jumps in "What's the vibranium for?" "I'm glad you asked that, because I wanted to take the time to explain my evil plan!" Stark's rouge robots attack us, alongside the enhanced twins. The girl wiggles her red fingers around me, the Captain breaks me out of it "Thor! Status?" "The girl tried to warp my mind. Take special care, I doubt a human could keep her at bay. Fortunately, I am mighty.”

CLINT POV:
I'm keeping an eye out from a bit further away, I feel someone trying to sneak up on me, I have an electric arrow at the ready, as soon as the person is close enough, I spin round and plant it on their forehead. it's the girl, she shakes from the electricity "I've done the whole mind control thing, not a fan." I'm suddenly knocked to the ground as a blur passes me, the girl disappears "Yeah, you'd better run!" I hear Cap "Whoever's standing, we gotta move! Guys?" I find Tasha, who's in a trance of some kind, I sit with her, making sure she's okay. I hear Tony's voice "Natasha, I could really use a lullaby." "Well, that's not gonna happen, not for a while. The whole team is down, you got no back up here." "I'm calling in VERONICA." We eventually get everyone back onto the quinjet I start flying us, Hill and Stark talk, he calls out to me when the call is over "Hey, wanna switch out?" "No, I'm good. If you wanna get some kip, now's a good time, cause we're still a few hours out." "A few hours from where?" "A safe house."

NEVE POV:
Bruce arrives back at the tower and updates us on everything that happened with Ultron, the twins and that some of them are off at the moment trying to figure things out. It annoys me that I can't do anything right now, but I know that if this becomes a bigger thing, I'll get my chance to shine. Eventually the others arrive, the only people missing are Clint, Natasha and Steve, we join the rest of the team to see what's going on. We've been listening to the talking over the comms, Natasha was taken away by Ultron, but Clint has a cradle of some sort. Clint arrives in the quinjet with the cradle, Aala and Dad help Clint and Tony move it from the quinjet.

What's in this thing?

Clint observes it "This is sealed tight." Bruce responds "We're going to need to access the program, break it down from within." Tony talks to Clint "Any chance Natasha might leave you a message, outside the internet, old school spy stuff?" "There's some nets I can cast. Yeah, alright, I'll find her." Clint walks away, Bruce is in deep thought "I can work on tissue degeneration, if you can fry whatever operational system Cho implanted." "Yeah... about that." He gives Bruce a strange look.

What's he thinking?

Bruce seems to understand "No." "You have to trust me." "Kinda don't." "Our ally? The guy protecting the military's codes? I found him." He brings up JARVIS's consciousness "Hello, Dr Banner." "Ultron didn't go after JARVIS cause he was angry. He attacked him because he was scared of what he can do. So JARVIS went underground, okay? Scattered, dumped his memory, but not his protocols. He didn't even know he was in there, until I pieced him together." "So, you want me to help YOU put JARVIS into this thing?"

I don't think that sounds very safe.

"No, of course not!" I let out a breath I didn't realise I was holding "I want to help YOU put JARVIS in this thing." Dad steps up "This could be dangerous." "Which is why HE has to do it." Tony looks back to Bruce "We're out of my field here, you know bio-organisms better than anyone." Bruce questions it "And you just assume that JARIVS's operational matrix can beat Ultron's?" "JARVIS has been beating him from inside without knowing it. This is the opportunity, we can create Ultron's perfect self, without the homicidal glitches he thinks are his winning personality. We have to." Aala shrugs "I think it's worth a go."

You what!? You crazy!?

Dad drags us out of the lab, we walk to the kitchen. Once we've had something to eat, we decide to head back and see if they've come to a decision yet. On the way back, we come across Steve, Wanda and Pietro, Aala notices first "Pietro!"

Of course she'd call out to him first. Oh, does that mean she still has that stupid crush on him? This is gonna be good.

The 3 of them turn to face us "Aala, Neve. What are you doing here?" The pair hug, I stride over to Wanda and hug her, I explain "We're sort of Avengers now." Aala nods, Pietro smiles "But, you were with HYDRA." Aala nods "We were sent on a mission and retaliated. Seems you did the same thing." Wanda answers "We learned Ultron's true plan and disagree with it." We switch twins to hug "Shut it down!" I notice Steve is missing, the remaining 5 of us run to the lab, to see them all arguing.
