10. Vision

BUCKY POV:
We arrive at the lab, Bruce motions to the girl "She's not in your head?" She responds "I know you're angry." "Oh, we're way past that. I could choke the life out of you and never change a shade." Aala and Neve both stand in front of the girl protectively, Steve tries to reason "Banner, after everything that's happened..." Tony butts in "That's nothing compared to what's coming!" The girl steps forward "You don't know what's in there!"

She's right, this is far too dangerous to meddle with.

Steve sighs "This isn't a game..." The girl doesn't give up "The creature...!" Her brother speeds around the lab and destroys the equipment the scientists were planning on using for the cradle. When he stops, he puts his hands on his hips "No, no, go on. You were saying?" Suddenly there's a shattering of glass, the boy falls through the floor, his sister shouts out to him "Pietro!" Aala is already running to him, she starts pulling him up, Barton smirks "What? You didn't see that coming?"

That was too far, he's just a kid!

Thor enters the room and pounds the cradle with his hammer, sending a powerful bolt of lightning into the cradle. A body gets up, it has red skin and flies to the nearest window, it forms clothes on itself as we all look on in shock. As it approaches Thor, it lands, it grows a cape like Thor has, when it speaks it has JARVIS's voice "I'm sorry, that was... odd." He nods to Thor "Thank you." Steve steps forward, cautiously "Thor, you helped create this?" "I've had a vision. A whirlpool that sucks in all hope of life and at it's centre, is that." He points to the jewel in the body's forehead.

So, this is very bad then.

Bruce questions is "What, the gem?" "It's the Mind Stone. It's one of the six Infinity Stones, the greatest power in the universe, unparalleled in its destructive capabilities." Steve has the same thought as me "Then why would you bring it to-" "Because Stark is right." Neve scoffs "He's what?" Bruce agrees "Oh, it's definitely the end of times." Thor ignores the comments and continues "The Avengers cannot defeat Ultron."

AALA POV:
But this man can help, if he is as powerful as Thor says with that stone. Sometimes to take down someone dangerous, you need someone more dangerous.

The man speaks "Not alone." Steve turns to Tony "Why does your 'vision' sound like JARVIS?" "We... we reconfigured JARVIS's matrix to create something new." "I think I've had my fill of new." The 'vision' speaks up "You think I'm a child of Ultron?" "You're not?" "I'm not Ultron. I'm not JARVIS. I am... I am..."

Poor fella needs a name, Vision might have to do for now.

“Vision.” He smiles at me, Wanda steps forward "I looked into your head and saw annihilation." "Look again." Clint dismisses it "Yeah, her seal of approval means jack to me." I glare at him, I'm pretty sure it's the first time I've ever made such a face. Clint see's my face and his eyes widen, Thor speaks again "Their powers, the horrors in our heads, Ultron himself, they all came from the Mind Stone and they're nothing compared to what it can unleash. But with it on our side..." Steve looks to Vision "Is it? Are you, on our side?"

Stop calling him 'it', that's not very nice, how would you like it?

Vision speaks "I don't think it's that simple." As the team start doubting him more, I walk out of the room, I hear someone follow me, when I get to the elevator, I turn around to see a concerned Pietro "What's wrong?" "They're treating him like the enemy, they treated you like the enemy..." He pulls me in for a hug "We are all on one side now, Princessa." I feel myself blush, he pulls out of the hug and smirks at me "I have missed you, Aala."

Missed is an understatement.

"They never let us back, because you were doing so well, just the two of you." "Damn it, I should've made it look like I was struggling." We both laugh, we're interrupted by feet approaching us, Dad speaks "Get ready, we're going to Sokovia. Pietro, Steve wants a word." Neve drags me to our room, so we can get ready as quickly as we can.
