That same night, Emily arrived to her father's laboratory rather late. It was three a.m and she was dragging her feet as she entered, her face stunned.
Voila! Here she is. The new and improved Hannah. Do you all not like what I have done to her style? That was Jin's voice from earlier playing in her head. He had spent time making over Hannah after they all agreed to let her stay for a while. He seemed to not remember that he had wanted her dead.
Oh my God she looks so cu-yute! That had been Leigh's reaction. The girl had run up to Hannah and engaged in a happy dance with her.
I know right?! Everyone, compliment me! Hannah had started bouncing up and down as everyone said kind things about her.
My girlfriend is better than all of yours hyungs. You all are sad and lonely while I have woman to keep me company at night! Be jealous. Jungkook had started looking extremely mischievous while all chatted. No one had really heard him and that had made him sad. He had gone to sit alone in a corner while the party commenced for hours upon hours upon hours.
Emily could not lie and say that she had not enjoyed herself but . . . the downfall after this seemed like it was going to be a hard one. "But she looked so happy . . ." Was there a way for her to fix things?
She was surprised when she met her father wide awake at a laptop, typing feverishly.
Dr Uchiha turned around in his chair to see his 'daughter'. He smiled at her but then frowned. "Why home so late Ems?" He called her by her nickname at times. It felt rather natural as they were pretty close. She was the only person he spoke with about all of his plans. She often tried to discourage him and they ended up having a debate of philosophy but he liked those. She was intelligent. It made him feel twice as smart that he could make such a sophisticated human being.
Emily blinked, rubbed her eyes then blinked more. She then went to stand behind him, next to the large curtain that covered all of the many tubes of 'perfect' human beings which would be released once her father destroyed earth. "The party lasted longer than I . . . yawn . . . expected it to." She stared curiously at his screen. "What you got there?"
The man smiled and told her to bring another roller chair close to his so that he could show her properly.
Emily did so then yawned, feeling more energetic afterwards.
"What does this look like to you?" He was pointing at the screen which showed something that resembled a SIM neighbourhood.
Emily chuckled. "Looks like you've found a love for video games if you ask me. If you knew you were going to feel lonely while I was gone today then you should have just asked me to stay Daddy." She hugged him from the side then kissed his cheek.
The doctor laughed fondly then kissed her cheek. He then pulled away and rubbed her arm. "I wasn't lonely Emily." He smiled rather evilly. "I was creating the new world."
Emily was lost. "New world? Isn't that the name that Christopher Columbus gave to the newly discovered parts of earth? Or well the parts of earth which he infiltrated and decided to claim for Spain even though they were already claimed by people? "
He chuckled then patted her cheek. "No. I mean, the world that you and your perfect brethren will live in once this one is long gone." Uchiha clicked something and there was now a wide shot of everything. "Behold." The image was now a purple planet with masses of orange on it. The planet looked somewhat like earth but smaller.
Emily's jaw dropped. "Have you . . . figured out a way to destroy this earth or something? Or-or at least the fifteen?" It frightened her that he was taking such a big leap at this point. She had hoped that he would be forgetting about all of this soon. It seemed that he was not and that his ideas were still well in his head. Guess I haven't been doing much of a good job to change his mind then.
