Leigh-Anne felt the person who held her squeezing her to the point where she could not breathe. This hug was desperate, almost a cry for help but she could feel clouded love within it as well. It hurt her yet it felt safe. I can't breathe. She wanted to pry herself away but she ended up wrapping her arms around the person, who ever it was. . . Wait . . . She knew.
Hannah released Leigh now and stared at her. Her eyes seemed sort of puffy and she was sweating but there was a smile on her face.
Leigh-Anne felt pain by staring at Hannah. "H-Hannah . . . what are you . . . what's wrong?" She held her friend by the arm.
Hannah was so happy to see Leigh. Nothing else mattered. It didn't and if it tried to matter she would delete it from her mind aggressively. It was all about her and her best friend now. "Leigh-Anne I love you so much!" She hugged Leigh again.
Leigh let her hug her. She found herself smiling and hugged back. "I love you too Hannah. You're my best friend after all."
Hannah released her and stared. Leigh-Anne looked so happy, so healthy, she was glowing and seemed on the level of a goddess in her eyes. Her best friend was majestic wasn't she? Without me. She got angry at the new friends of Leigh but decided to put it away to be happy with Leigh. "Gosh it took me so long to find you but I did!" She posed. "So now I'm here."
Leigh giggled and posed with her. They then laughed together. "Where'd you come from? Do the others know that you're here?" When was the last time she saw Hannah? Her best friend was back to life and yet she had not been seeing her. Oh right . . . She remembered when she had started crying while they were trying to have a bit of fun. It was so strange how she randomly began to cry. And I also saw her at the meeting. Hannah was so fun to be around.
"Don't think about them." Hannah held Leigh's hand. "It's about us." She looked at Leigh's gift bag. "Aww you bought me a present."
Leigh laughed as she watched Hannah take the bag. She took it back gently and then grinned largely. "Hans you're not going to believe this but . . ." She looked around then pulled Hannah more to the side. "I've made up my mind."
Hannah gasped. "About what? About what? Letting me have that gift?" She tried to snatch it again.
Leigh held the gift away while giggling. "Nope. About something bigger." She could barely contain her excitement. It totally made sense to have her best friend know about it first. "I just came out of the jewellery store and guess what I bought." She was bouncing.
Hannah giggled. "If it ain't a gift for me then I don't care." They laughed together. "Alright tell me." She patted Leigh's arm fondly.
Leigh put her lips to Hannah's ears. "I bought Jesy an engagement ring 'cause I want to propose." She pulled away and clapped and danced before her friend.
Hannah was frozen, her face had been smiling but her lips dropped.
Leigh squealed. "Isn't it exciting?!" She hopped from one foot to the other. "While I was at the store something just dinged in my head and I made up my mind. I don't think I've ever felt this way before. And now it's like . ." She did motions at her head while staring off. "Everything's clearer you know what I mean? Like . . . the world makes sense." She grinned widely at her friend. As she did so something occurred to her and she gasped. "Hannah! I want you to be the maid of honour!"
Hannah was still frozen, her eyes on Leigh.
Leigh-Anne would surely burst open from happiness soon. "Yes yes that means-no! That means that I've got to propose as soon as I get back to Jesy and we've got to plan the wedding ASAP! ASAP! ASAP!" She hopped up and down while patting Hannah on every capitalized word.
