Chapter 07

"Night fury"

This thing never steals food, never shows it self...

The watch tower collapsed but luckily dad already jumped out of it oh and did I mention it never misses?

No on has ever killed a nightfury that's why I'm gonna be the first.

Gobber placed his axe prosthetic onto his arm "man the fort hiccup" trudging out of the fort turning towards me "stay" Commanding me "put" pausing again "there" pointing where i was standing at before crying out and joining the other 

I ran out of the Hut with the catapult in a cart running out to the field and reaching the highest point I could in berk

Once I did I set it up then scanned for the nightfury in the pitch black sky "come on, come on" I mumbled "give me something to shoot at"

It's like the gods heard my pleads i heard the screeching roar of the nightfury looking for the silhouette of the dragon and taking the shot I fell to the ground from the force but I heard the nightfury fall with a faint pleading roar being heard "I did it haha!  I did it" I turned around and I saw Rian looking at me with shock her gaze going to where the nightfury fell, I laughed and walked towards her pointing at where it fell "did you see that!?" I asked still not believing that I shot down a nightfury

She nodded hesitantly, we turned to our left seeing a monstrous nightmare growling at us with a glare that could kill 5 men, standing infront of me she drew out her sword and aimed at the dragon trying to intimidate it

it spat a small flame at her hand causing her to hiss in pain and drop it "you know what i have a better plan" I suggested walking backwards pulling her with me "RUN!" 

We ran as fast as we could from the dragon and of course she was faster than me. It was right on my tail I looked behind me and I saw that it was ready to blow it's flames "hiccup!" She shouted warning me doing that thing where it sets itself on fire

I hid behind a pole hoping that it wouldn't see me which had to be the stupidest idea I've ever had. Ever. It's head slowly came to view from the corner of my eye

"HEY!" I heard her yell gaining the attention of the monstrous nightmare but it didn't work. Well it was great living while it lasted.

Rians P.O.V 

The stupid dragon didn't hear me so I threw the closest thing I could find at it. A rock would make it angry so I threw it 

"Pick on someone who can actually fight you!" I challenged the dragon stalked towards me when it reached eye level with me. It huffed a cloud of smoke on my face it took all I had not to cough or grimace in disgust 

I waited for the right moment to stab it with my dagger until..... Satna 

Her war crys could be heard from my right which resulted into her gaining the attention of the wretched dragon running towards it swinging her sword injuring the dragons wing 

Its wings looked like a ripped curtain it roared in pain Then tried to fly away I saw its figure rise into the sky but clearly out of balance it plummeted into the sea

Good riddance 

I was about to run over to hiccup but stoick beat me to him clearly lecturing him about disobeying his direct orders

I felt a stinging pain on my hand looking down in saw a large purple burn covering almost covering my entire hand

Leaving the seen I decided to go back to the house seeing uncle sitting by a fire. Why does he always sit there? I filled a bucket with water carrying it up to my room with my other hand 

I got inside and went to the bunk beds, me and Satna has to share a room so that ment I have to do this quick

Dipping my hand into the cold water I grimaced at the stinging sensation Pursing my lips trying not to scream in pain. For 1 small spit of fire, it hurts, alot

Using my other hand I grabbed  a med kit from under my pillow. And if you're asking I keep it there for emergencies. Opening the wooden box I grabbed a jar that contained some of crazy dillys 'secret ilyxr' at least that's what she calls it, she might be a crack head but she has amazing healing abilities 

Pulling my hand out of the bucket it felt slightly numb, I covered it in the odd blue substance the wrapped it in bandages trying not to tighten it too much

Once I was finished I hid the box under my pillow and poured the water on the floor 

I layer back onto my bed revising todays events ok

1. I woke up and had breakfast 

2. I punched snotlout for trying to flirt with me, doesn't he get a hint?

3. I talked with the girl named Astrid and sparred with her for a bit

4. I took dragon training

5. There was a raid

6. I killed a couple of dragons proving to everyone what I am capable of

7. I witnessed hiccup shooting down a nightfury 

Wait. I witnessed hiccup shoot down a nightfury

I sat up shocked at what I just remembered "HICCUP SHOT DOWN A NIGHTFURY!?!" I yelled unconsciously jealous and some what impressed 

He managed to shoot down a nightfury in the pitch black sky, how the hell did he do that?

I was pulled out of my thoughts when I heard the door open 

Satna walked into our room blood splattered all over face and clothes

Oh I wasnt scared by that nor was just worried, it was an everyday thing 

She seemed tired walking to the table at the end of the room placing her sword and her bow on it taking off her fur coat then throwing it to the ground before she was able to walk to the bed she slipped and fell with a loud thump onto the ground 

Resulting into me bursting out laughing. She stood up death glaring me but her glaring was soon interupted by her yawning "you know what I'm to tired to be angry" and with that she made her way towards the bed throwing herself onto it

I decided it was getting late and it was time for some shud eye  I snuggled into my comfy warm blankets then mumbled a light goodnight which she soon replied with a muffled one

My mind kept going back to hiccup and how he shot down a nightfury, I'll talk to him about that tommorow but will he even listen, I mean I did shut him out of my life 

I pushed those thoughts away then fell into a relaxing deep sleep. Believe me when I say this the best kind of sleep is when all of your muscles are aching.
