There were thousands of them, and we were outnumbered, but my abilities allowed us to knock down fifty at once using only small spells. Soon my lions joined in and we all fought ferociously. No ninja would back down at the face of our enemy, no matter how close to death they were. I fought with all my force, teaming up with fellow leaf shinobi. As each enemy was defeated, twice as many replaced them, and twice as much of my chakra vanished. It wasn't long before I was beyond exhausted and the battle seemed hopeless. That didn't stop me from fighting. I will protect my village until my dying breath. Stupidly, I used chakra to power a punch, only having access to enough to render him unconscious. Another ninja finished him off as I fell to my knees, panting heavily. Suddenly I felt an agonizing pain, and a blade slice through my chest, barely missing my heart. My vision blurred as I screamed and fell forward. My pride rushed towards me, but already knew what would happen next, there was no stopping it. "Kiba.." I never got to finish my sentence, as the world faded into nothingness and I accepted the fact that I was dead. I fought until my dying breath.
I sat on the semi solid blackness, not knowing a single thing. Who am I? How old am I? Was I cared for? Who are my parents? I saw a light appear, and desperately rushed towards it, hoping for answers. I saw a bird made entirely out of fire. "Who are you?" I asked, and the bird groaned in annoyance. It flashed to a person with orange hair and green eyes. "I want to help you, let me. My name is Emma, or Andesite and I can give you answers. You are dead, you died protecting your home. You don't remember anything, because you accepted your death. There are people who miss you, who want you to return. I can help you return, in the hopes that you can one day help me escape my prison. Do you agree?" I nodded. "How, how may I return?"
"My time to talk will be up soon, when I disappear and the fire bird returns, walk into her, and you will be free from the prison that is death and Adara." She spoke the name with such hate and disgust. Before I could ask what had happened between her and this Adara, the fire bird returned. "You are my one way ticket home," I announced, and walked into the bird. I was enveloped by light and felt all I knew return to me. I felt proper ground beneath my feet, sounds of jutsus and weapons clashing. Wind slicing through the air. Feathers. Feathers!? I opened my eyes in surprise and saw a pair of fiery orange wings on my back and felt red hot power flooding through my veins. I rose into the air and beat my wings, sending wave of destructive heat out towards my enemies, immediately killing them, but leaving allies unharmed. Once all my enemies perished, I floated gently to the ground. "What just happened?" I asked to no one in particular and all I received were looks of shock, which wasn't helpful. Just as I had thought the craziness had ended, I found myself tied to a wall in a dark room.
