The ending of the Lifetime Aaliyah movie was literally Aaliyah hopping into a car and waving goodbye to her boyfriend Damon Dash, with the scene being zoomed up in the sky and left the message: 'On August 25th 2001, after shooting the Rock The Boat music video in the Bahamas, Aaliyah and eight others were killed when their plane crashed shortly after takeoff.'
