Chapter V (5)

KAYLA
"Uhhhhh!" I yawned before getting up out of the bed and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth then washed my face and unwrapped my hair. "Kayla!" I heard Chris call out. I walked down stairs into the kitchen where he was. "Yea bae?"
"I'm about to go meet up with Vaughn, Keith an Rob, I'll be back later tonight, but I wanna take you out around 8."
"Ok sounds good to me." I smiled.

"Where are you going? And I like that hair style on you." He added.

"Thanks and I'm finna go to ihop, this son of yours is a fat ass." I rubbed my belly.

"Don't be sizing his gangsta like that." He said as he kissed me and kneeled down and kissed my stomach before he left the house. I went back upstairs and put on my red Hollister long sleeve shirt, with blue writing and my blue sweat pants that had Hollister going down the leg in red. I sprayed some oil sheen on my hair and put on my blue and red earrings. I had long hair straight with a part down the middle. I then sat on the edge of the bed an put on my socks and red vans. I grabbed my wallet and keys then headed out the door to ihop. When I got there I asked for a table for 1. "Hey Boo!" My girl Daya said as she walked up to take my order. "Wassup Mama?" I said as I stood up and hugged her. "Nothing much, I get off at 12 and its 11:45 right now so ima go ahead and take your order and clock out, I'll be back over here to sit an talk with you in a minute." She said as she handed me my ice water and lemon. "Alright girl, take your time." Me and Daya been down since jittybug days, she was actually with me when I first met Chris.

BRANDY

I was awakened by the sounds of Marques moving around. I grabbed his jug of water and made him a bottle. After burping him, I changed him and sat him back in his carseat. I then crunk up my car and headed to the nearest gas station. I only have $15 to my name. I have no clue how I was gonna take care of me or my baby. When I got to the gas station I stepped out the car and realized that it was cold. I popped the trunk to get my baby blanket. While moving everything and searching for it I felt a rip in my trunk. When I pulled back the carpet I saw stacks of money. I immediately started to cry. I grabbed one stack and put the carpet back down over it. I finally saw Marques blanket, I got it then closed the trunk. I got my baby out his carseat and went to go pay for my gas. I paid $60 just to fill up the tank. After pumping my gas I drove to the nearest bank and put money on my card. After that I drove to the Marriot Hotel Resort. I checked in and they gave me my room key. I walked up to room number 756 and it was beautiful, the view was amazing. I cried because me and my baby no longer had to suffer. I got a luggage cart and got all of our things out the car. After taking a shower and bathing Marques and putting on clean clothes. I was starving so I decided to go to ihop.

KAYLA
"So girl, how is Vaughn sexy self? Lord knows I miss him." Daya asked as she brung me my grits, bacon and pancakes. Daya and Vaughn always had a thing for each other, but never made anything happen. "Girl he good, still same old Vaughn, me and Chris going out tonight ima tell Vaughn to come. He is gonna be sooo happy to see you." I said making her smile. "Really? You think so, girl you just don't know how miserable I been after losing touch with you."

"Kayla is that you?" I heard a familiar voice say.

"Yea, its me." I said as looked up to see Brandy standing there.

"Here have a seat." I said while scooting over.

"Hey Daya." She said. Daya gave her a fake smirk. She never really liked Brandy after what she did to Vaughn. "So how you been?" I asked.
"Life has been hard for me an Marques, but I'm hanging in here."

"You know what they say, karma is a BITCH!" Daya said.

"Yea that's true, and so are you" Brandy said with a phoney smile, while giving Daya the evil eye as she murmured the last part.

"Aww, Is that the baby?" I asked breaking the awkward silence.

"Yea, this is him." She said as she removed the cover off him.

"He's a cutie."

"Thanks, I see you're expecting." She said as she rubbed my stomach.

"Yep I'll be 9months tomorrow."

"Boy or Girl?" She asked.

"Boy."

"Oh Ok, well it was nice seeing you." Brandy said as she stood up while covering the baby back up. Daya then rolled her eyes.

"Why you gotta be so mean D?"

"Because I don't like her." Daya replied.

"You barely know her."

"But I know what she's about and I know damn well you heard when she said her baby's name."

"I didn't hear when she said it, what about the baby name?" I asked.

"She gave her baby Vaughn's middle name!"

"Come on D, you're over exaggerating lets go." We got in my car and headed to Daya's house so she could get clothes for tonight.

CHRIS

Me, Vaughn and Keith were all at Rob's house playing pool. On Saturdays we handled business early in the morning so we could spend the rest of the day like normal niggas instead of drug dealers. "Bam HA! Nigga I want my money!" I said to Rob. We just bet $800 on the last game and of course ya boy (Me) won. I then felt my phone vibrate and it was a text from Kayla telling me to bring Vaughn to dinner with us tonight because she had someone special for him. After letting him know wassup, he agreed to come. We then hopped into a game of spades.

DAYA
Later that night...

I was at Kayla's house, we were getting dressed for dinner tonight. I worn a black fitted dress, my hair was long on one side and short on the other side. I walked into the guess bathroom to put on my make-up. "You know what I'm tired of being pregnant, my fat ass can't fit shit!" I heard Kayla yell which made me laugh and walk into her closet where she was. When I saw her it made me laugh more. She was in the closet on the floor with her legs spread out. "It aint funny, I'm not having sex no damn more!"

"We'll see what Chris has to say about that." I said as I started helping her look for something to wear. Instead of looking in her closet, I looked in her draws and found a black fitted dressed, with long see through sleeves with see through sides as well. "Perfect!" I said out loud. I got up and showed her. "Oowww!" Kayla said. I helped her from up off the floor. She then tried the dress on and it fitted her perfectly, she went to the bathroom and put on her make-up and I went to go finish mine. By the time we finished with everything it was 7:30. We took pictures for instagram while we waited, then we heard the door open. "Bae yall ready?!" Chris called out. "Yea, we coming!" Kayla yelled back.
