Chapter Two: Sunshine

Kirishima's POV:

I slowly stir awake at the sound of birds singing, it was the only thing filling the silence of the room. My eyes crack open, letting me have a blurry gaze at my bedroom ceiling. I was about to close my eyes and fall back asleep but then I manage to snap back awake.
I now had a clear sight of the ceiling then took in a glance around the room. Katsuki wasn't to be found, meaning he must already be up. In thtat case I should get up and gey ready myself.

After a good shower, brushing my teeth and a change into day clothes I was ready for today. I didn't bother spiking my hair just yet. It was still early and there's no rush to get to work.
I walked on into our living room/kitchen area. Katsuki was sitting at the table eating cereal and reading the news. By his facial expression and the Visible headline, he wasn't enjoying the news that much.
The headline for this and most news articals say something similar too, "NUMBER ONE HERO DEKU SAVES THE DAY AGAIN!" or "SPECIAL MUST READ INTERVIEW WITH THE GREATEST HERO OF OUR TIME, DEKU!"
Katsuki didn't enjoy it all to much but, everyone knows why Midoriya is number one.

I noticed him expression shifting ever so slightly. So I snatched the paper from his hands so I could read it myself. Why? I've been with Katsuki long enough to know he was a second always from destroying that news paper.

"Thanks Babe! My phone is still charging so it'll be nice to read the news now than later.", I chirped brightly giving him a peck on the cheek.
After grabbing the paper I made myself a bowl of cereal. Then I sat down at the table reading any headline that peaked my interest and shoveling cereal into my mouth. If it was anything really important Katsuki would fill me in on it.
A few minutes gone by and I handed him back the paper which upon contact exploded.

I teased Katsuki a bit,"I'm only guessing you're having a wonderful morning?"
"It's so stupid that I have to see that stupid Deku's face all the time. So what if he's the number one hero? Everyone needs to shut the fuck up sometimes!", he snarled with the expression that he was going to implode. I could clearly see the whites of his eyes and smoke was rising from his clenched fists.

In attempt to calm him down I spoke softly," Babe you know as well as I do that their tittle for number one hero is all about attention. It's all about your heart and perseverance of being a hero! I know you have that more than any other hero out there, so in my eyes and heart you're my number one!"
He started to calm down from my cheesy remarks so I leaned across the table and gave him another kiss on the cheek.
He must have had other plans. I say this because before I could get back to my side of table he grabbed my face gently and pulled me into a kiss. It was a soft, delicate kiss on the lips, making me feel the warmth of love all over again. Yes it was a bit unexpected but, I don't mind at all. I kissed back and caressed his face gently.
Moments later we pulled away and I practically lost my breath as we locked eyes. I could stop staring. He took me away from reality and I wouldn't wanna go back if it meant being him.

But reality has it's many ways to drag me back.
A ring tone played out causing the both of us to snap out of the daze we were in. It was also then that I realized I was leaning over the table and had no balance, my arms slamed on the table as my body went down.
I let out a huff of air and stand up.

It was my phone that was crying out. And by the ringtone, it was Denki calling. I grab my phone and answered.
"Hey Denki! what's up?"

"Dude not much but, You and your husband are going to the mini reunion right?", They way he wa speaking I could practically envision him smirking.

"Shut up! Y-you know he isn't my- You're not going to listen, whatever. But yes, we're going. Despite the fact Katsuki isn't to fond of the idea, I managed to convince him."
I was a bit annoyed by the whole husband joke. Sero and mina do it too but, they need to chill.

"Firstly, Awesome! We got to hang out sometime before this reunion though. And secondly, You and Bakugou should consider tying the knot soon. The both of you have been together since before we graduated UA. I'm surprised you two aren't at the latest engaged!"

"I! W-WELL I... UH. AKSLZHIJFS BYE DUDE!" I panicked before hanging up on him........

Nailed it!

"What the fuck was thst about Eijirou??" Katsuki asked while narrowing his eyes at me.

okay think Eijirou... Don't tell him about that husband joke or engagement thing.
"I-it.. Nothing Denki was just being gross. Babe, do me a favor and next time we see him. Go have a field day." I'M SO SORRY DENKIBRO!

Katsuki's eyes lit up in excitement. And a jumped out of his face with a devious expression. "Really?! FUCK YEAH!", His voice boomed out. It was clear he was already thinking of things to say.

I laughed to myself because of what I just did, also because of how excited Katsuki looked.
Looking back at my phone I saw some messages from Denki.
First was, 'Kiri? Why'd you hang up??'
Quickly followed by, 'WAIT. Did you tell Bakugou?! Please tell you you didn't!!'
He's already gonna face revenge, might as well tell him. I shoot back a text, 'Too late. he knows.'
'NOOOOOOO!! PLEASE I'LL DO ANYTHING!!' He texted back pleading.

I only responded with a simple answer.
'Perish'

From there I just turned off the phone and brought my attention back to the world around me. Katsuki was in the kitchen rinsing out our cereal bowls.
He looks so happy right now. I want to hug him.
I walk up behind him and wrapped my arms around his waist. Nuzzling my head into the book of his neck.
It was comforting.

"Babe~ you wanna cuddle before we go to work?", I asked in a sweet tone.

A low grumble came from him before I heard a response. "We always cuddle Shitty hair."
I felt a grin grow on my face and I chuckled out,"Because I know you won't say no~"

There was a pause of silence before he turned off the sink and said, "Fuck you...."

We both ended up on the couch in each others arms. We pretty much do this everyday and I love it!
You would think doing the same thing everyday with someone would become boring but its not. People would be amazed by how often its usually Katsuki who asks to cuddle before work!

Not to long later a specific tune played out from Katsuki's phone. It was an alarm he had set to make sure we were never late for work. He got up to turn the alarm off and get ready. Leaving me on the couch.
"Katsuki!!!!! I still wanna cuddle!", I whined out.

He didn't even bat and eye. "Eijirou. We'll be late for work at this rate. This happens every morning, you and I both know how this'll end."

He's right, it's unmanly to be late for work as a hero. "You're no fun!", I stuck my tounge out at him in a childish manner.
The both of us got ready to go to work. After getting some more, work suited clothes on, I went to spike md hair up in the bathroom. Then Katsuki got a chance to put in his eye contacts. Because fobid anyone sees that he needs glasses. Even though he doesn't mind me and his parents see them. On the rare occasion he actually does wear them.

We lock the door behind us as we leave our apartment. If I'm correct its my turn to drive today?
Either way we made it down to the residential parking lot.

"Wow, it's so sunny out today!! It's really bright!" I said while shielding my eyes from being blinded.

I didn't hear what Katsuki," What was that Katsuki?"

He smirked and gave me a nudge,"It was nothing. Now lets get going."

Third person:

Bakugou thought to himself and he walked to their car with Kirishima just behind him.
'I said it wasn't that bad. I'm always around the god damn sun shinning.'
