Randhir got ready soon after that saying an important meeting has been rescheduled for today. Sanyukta was thinking about how to find out about Dr. Asthana. Though earlier she had decided to let things go but now she had to find out everything. She needed peace of mind to live happily for her baby, which only the truth could provide.
She went to renuka who was instructing the maids for dinner preparation.
"Sanyukta what are you doing here? You should have taken rest and called me to your room if you had any work." Renuka said, concerned.
I know you are lying to me too!!
"Nothing like that mom. Am completely fine. Actually can you give me our family doctor's number, I just wanted to ask some basic things. Randhir had told me his name, what was it?" She pretended to think.
"Dr. Sunil Sharma. I'll just sent you his number." Renuka smiled.
Didn't plan this one well Shekhawat!!
Sanyukta faked back a smile while her insides were on fire. She immediately came back to her room and threw a vase on the floor in anger.
"I was right. I knew he was lying to me. I so knew it." She shouted in the closed room.
She sat down on the bed with her head in her hands. She took deep breaths to calm herself as anger wasn't good for her health.
"Enough is enough. Today I'll find out everything. Come what may." She stood up determinately and looked around.
The first thought that came to her mind was to confront randhir but she knew he would anyhow divert the topic so she decided to take the matter in her hands. She started searching through his stuff to look for even the slightest clue she could get.
She rummaged through his clothes, files, draws and everything in their room. Then she got inside his study room. There too she looked into anything and everything but found nothing. After struggling all the while when she got tired and returned to her room, her gaze fell on the safe that was inside the wardrobe, she had left open.
She immediately checked the draws again and found a single key in the extremely last one. She rushed towards the safe and tried her luck. She jumped a bit as the safe opened with that key. She found the whole safe empty, only one file was there. She picked it up and opened it with anticipation.
She could recognize that those were some legal papers. She sat on the bed along with that file and started reading it.
Her tears betrayed her as she read it further and started falling freely from her eyes.

Randhir entered the doctors cabin after being called inside. Dr. Asthana waited for him there with reports in his hand.
"Please sit randhir." The old man smiled at him.
"Doctor this is not the time to sit idly. You need to do something. Her health is not getting any better." Randhir said worriedly.
"I know randhir. Even I have called you to talk about that only. These are her latest reports." He handed the papers to randhir.
Randhir looked at them and then looked back at the doctor for him to continue.
"I am treating her since past 8 years now and trust me when I say that, this is the most improvement she ever had. Things are not that good but definitely better than before." The doctor smiled encouragingly.
"You mean there is still hope?" His eyes glittered.
"Of course. In fact the chances have increased. I think she can live." The doctor chirped.
"Thank you. Thank you so much for such a great news uncle." Randhir smiled gratefully.
"Its OK son. I know how much she means to you. Nowadays people don't give so much time to anyone but you have given her all your time. As much as I knew your father, you are just on his path." Dr. Asthana patted his back as they headed to the door.
Randhir couldn't stop grinning at his comment. It was the second best news he had heard recently, first being sanyukta's pregnancy. He headed to his car while humming a song and decided to treat his family out, to share his happiness. He couldn't tell her of course but he could definitely celebrate with her, right?
He settled in his car and turned the wheels towards home with a happy mood unaware that the day was going to turn rough as soon as he reached.

Randhir entered his mantion with the sweet box he had bought on his way and as soon as he came into the view of his mother, who was sitting in the living room, he rushed to her and hugged her tighter than ever.
On being asked he told the whole matter to renuka which brought the tears of joy in her eyes. She looked upwards and sent a silent prayer to the Almighty to change things only for better now.
He then headed to his room only to find the whole placed messed up just like a storm had hit it. But he didn't care about that, his eyes rested on his wife who was sitting in the middle of the room, on the floor with her back pressed to the bed and her head dipped in her haunches.
"Sanyukta what happened?" The sweet box fell from his hand as he ran to her.
He kept a hand on her shoulder but she didn't even move a bit, he then shook her lightly but there was still no effect. Having enough he caught her shoulders and shook her hard. She finally graced him with a glance.
He got scared for a moment, looking at her devastated state. Tears were constantly falling from in her eyes which were puffy and blood red clearly telling that she had been crying for long.
"Tell me what's wrong?" He cupped face and asked in the mildest tone.
"YOU KILLED MY FAMILY." Her eyes bored into his.
