Fenrock and Brynjolf arrived at the early afternoon of the following day. And just like one would expect from a city in the middle of the biggest desert in the world it was very hot. However, most of the buildings had a cooling system for the interior, so it was somewhat bearable.
The two friends were currently in the city center on a bench at the big fountain, waiting impatiently for their contract giver.
„Hurry up already!" grumbled Brynjolf.
Fenrock however didn't pay attention, because he had this strange feeling again. He looked around, looking for anything that could seem like a Blood Rose. His look fell on a tailoring shop. Through the windows, he could see a woman with long, black hair with purple accents. Then there was a guy with light green hair that just left the store.. Strange..
But he was thrown out of it, when suddenly a man in white clothes with golden ornaments stood in front of him. It was a dark-grey Felynian with a mackerel pattern in his fur. In his right ear was a golden earring. He looked at the two, eyed them up and down.
„Are you Rhaul Narjik?" Fenrock asked.
„This I am, are you Fenrock and Brynjolf?" he asked.
„Yes." They replied.
„Good, then let's go somewhere inside, where we can talk in peace." the Felynian suggested.
The three then got inside the nearest bar and sat down on a table in a darker corner. The place was filled with cutthroats and bandits and they met many suspicious and mistrusting looks. Brynjolf ordered a glass of rum and Fenrock a glass of whiskey, Dial Rhim didn't order anything, „Let's get right to business." he said, „You two have to get rid of a few people for me, that have.. well, aggravated me and got on my bad side for different reasons, I've written their names down on a list, if you need any information about them, ask around, I can't give anything else to you."
„Sounds easy enough," commented Brynjolf.
„And I guess, they are all here in Muinn Dir?" Fenrock asked.
„If my sources are correct, yes." Rhaul replied.
„Fine then, let's talk about our reward, I think, you can afford to pay something for a dangerous task like this." said Brynjolf.
„I know, and I'll pay accordingly." he replied, „100 gold coins."
„I think, this is a go-" Brynjolf was interrupted by Fenrock.
„Each." he said.
„Each? No, I think 50 each is a fair price."
„75 each." continued Fenrock, „Think about it, you're talking with professionals here. It will be like they never existed."
„... Fine, 75 gold coins each, this is a price, I can pay.." Rhaul agreed finally, slightly annoyed.
He then left the bar after handing the list to the two, they started to read the names,
Thommen Jora
Gandril Ebonwood
Marcurius Vernius
Bella Dussaint
„Hmm, none of them's ringin' a bell to me," Fenrock mumbled, „What about you, Bryn?"
„Nope, I ain't got nothin' aswell." he replied.
„Great, looks like we've gotta ask around, but don't ask too specific questions." Fenrock said.
