A few days have passed since the Manticore job and Lucia joining Blood Rose. In almost no time did she get familiar to her new surrounding, to the suprise of the others, since.. you know, she was never exposed to this way of living, but it really proved to be absolutely no problem for her. Which was a good thing, really. Only would've been needlessly annoying.
Well, anyway, it was a nice, sunny day in the area of Ravigrad. Fenrock and Lucia were taking a relaxing walk at the big lake outside of the city. There was a small village nearby, where they were actually headed. Fenrock decided to show Lucia a bit around, introduce her to everything and tell her stuff about the area and things she needed to know, so that's what's happening.
Lucia wanted to see the smaller villages, hence their visit. Bella was working on a new attire for the young woman and Brynjolf spent the last night in... good company and was staying in bed with a massive headache. Fenrock actually asked him to come, stating that some fresh air would do him good, but he refused.
Fenrock also seized this opportunity to get to know Lucia a bit more,
„I'm still really suprised that you've got used to this new way of living so fast!" he stated, „relieved, but still suprised."
„Yeah, it's kind of strange to me and all, but it's actually really nice not to be bound to anything." Lucia replied, „Have you guys always lived like that?"
„Well, Bryn did, that much I know. Bella had her tailoring shop down in Muinn Dir after she fled from her former life, so I'm guessing not really, by the way, you can thank Francis for that aswell and me..? Well, I kind of did aswell." Fenrock replied, „You know, the thing is, life hasn't been very kind to me most of the time, but things are getting better, I know it!"
„That's great to here!" Lucia cheered.
They then got to the village, where they saw a sign, that advertised a fishing contest. It was being held today!
„Ouh, a fishing contest," Lucia read, „Sounds like fun, can we go and watch it?"
„A fishing contest?" Fenrock chuckeled, „Sounds terribly boring to me, do you really want to go?"
Lucia looked at him with big dog eyes, saying, „Pretty please...?"
„*sigh* Fine, but I won't compete, before you even get that idea." he finally gave in.
„Yay! Thanks!"
As the two got closer to the village, they saw lots of people heading for the pier. Looks like this contest was quite a big deal around here. There were banners, signs, even merch booths. Pretty much effort for such a small outskirt village. Lucia seemed totally amazed by all this, acting like a small child.
She walked towards one of those merch stands, because there was this bandana that she totally adored. It was black with a white paisley pattern and she totally wanted to have it, there was only one problem, she didn't have any money.
So she asked Fenrock if he could lend her some, exploiting his one great weakness – Women..
„Ouh, and look at this one, I think it would totally suit you aswell!" For him she picked a dark-red one with a golden pattern, „You really think that?" he asked unimpressed, „I've never really been a bandana guy."
„Come on, Fenny, it would look totally cool on you!" she insisted.
„Fenny?!" Fenrock repeated, „What's that, like a nickname?!"
„Yeah, I thought it sounded cute, so I've decided to call you that from now on." Lucia replied.
Fenrock felt his left eye twitching a little, but he couldn't hide a little blush. Admitting his defeat, he finally bought both bandanas and the two put them on, „Fenny..." he grumbled.
