I should have listened
To my courteous friends.
They said, "He's shallow;
Don't tie up loose ends."But all I did
Was hand you the reins.
And now you have full access
To all of my veins.I believed you were magic
Because you held a magic hat.
But you never showed me magic tricks;
You walked on me like a mat.Now is not the time
For these foolish games.
I wanted a lover;
Not an empty frame.
