Pin Me Down

My life unravels in my hands
And I yell for it to stop
But it spirals toward the empty place in my bones
And yells, "Move!" while I crack.

"My legs are stiff because you poured your cement into them.
How am I supposed to move when you pin me to the ground
As you pin a tack to a corkboard?"

"You believe," it answered
While squeezing my tendons
To the point I cry out.
Streams originating from my eyes
Because of a single four letter word.

Fate.
