"Mom I'm going out with the neighbors!" I called as I ran upstairs to change. I didn't think I should wear this, they looked semi nice in there dark skinny jeans. Ashton was wearing a Band T and Luke was wearing one too, but he had a red flannel over it. He cuffed up the sleeves to his elbow due to it still being slightly warm at the end of august. I wouldn't classify them as the normal or cliché California boys I've seen.

I ran up the new stairs that I've only been up a few times, but it's already starting to become more like a new home than a new house. I went into my room and found a blue sweater that hung over my shoulder a little exposing my bra strap. But the sweater will keep me warm if we stayed outside all night, and it wouldn't be too hot if we were inside. Plus it's cute.

I had to make sure it matched before I put on my necklace that my dad gave me a few years before he died. I always wore it when I wasn't in the house or when I went into a car. It was just like a little symbol for him to guard me while I was out without him.

I was looking in the mirror until my mom knocked on the door and startled me, "You're going out with that Ashton boy and his friend, right?" She walked over to me and looked in the mirror with me. If you looked at the two of us, we didn't look too much alike. I wanted her blue eyes, but she has always told me that hazel eyes were the most special because they are a mixture. Also because it meant that my dad was always a part of me.

"Yes, don't worry I'll be back before midnight. You already know who they are though?" I looked at her with a puzzled expression. I know she came her a couple times to see the house and set it up, but I didn't think she'd look into the boys in our neighborhood.

"Yah, Ashton's mom asked if I had any kids and then I spoke about you and she lit up because Ashton and his friend are your age," My mom smiled, "He seems like a nice boy. I don't know about the other one. He seems a little weird."

"MOM!" I hit her arm softly, "they both seem to be very nice and Luke doesn't seem weird, maybe a little awkward, but not weird."

"Ah! That's his name, but okay whatever you say. Just text me or Tom if you need anything, Let me know where you are though, just in case I need to pick you up," My mom kissed my forehead and walked out of my room and into Alex's across the hall to check on my baby brother.

"Thank you," I smiled at her before I went down stairs and she smiled back.

I walked down the steps and waved Tom goodbye before walking out the door. I almost hit Luke right in the chest as I walked out, but he grabbed my wrist which made me flinch.

"Hey slow down," Luke chuckled lightly and then he frowned, "hey did I scare you? Why'd you flinch?"

"Of course you scared me," I nervously laughed, "so is everything good to go?"

"um yah Ashton in the car," Luke said letting go of my wrist and smiled, "we're going to go check out some cool places that you need to know about, then the real night starts."

"I told my mom midnight," I bit my bottom lip and looked up at Luke's six foot frame, "I mean I can always come later because I know they will be falling asleep very soon. My mom is really tired. I could always sneak in."

"No, we can make midnight work," Luke said before opening the car door for me, "right Ashton?"

"Yep," Ashton then smirked, "Unless you want to sneak back home later." I now noticed that both of them had cute dimples when they smiled, even when they talked I could see them. Luke sat next to me in the back seat and left the front seat open. I wondered why. Maybe because they didn't want me to feel awkward. I mean I was going out with strangers I literally just meet ten minutes ago.
