Chapter 2: Loose.

Patient Girl image --->

* Bell's POV

I didn't know why I was here, I didn't know who I would be stuck to, nor did I know when I would get out. That's if they ever do let me. Once I arrived here they made every single one of us change into some gray sweatpants and white shirts so the nurses if you want to call them that knew we were new here.

They escorted me to my room which was room 239. I was on the third floor. Every wall was white and all the lights were on. There were hallways here and there, it made this place look like a maze where you would end up lost if one didn't look where they go.

My room had nothing but a simple bed, the ones that look from prison, a metal desk that was nailed to the floor, a closet and a bathroom. The only good thing is that I had a window where I could see the forest stretching on for miles.

I put my clothes away even if I didn't have much to begin with and tried to settle down. I don't know why I had to be here, I'm not crazy like these other people.

"Hi" a voice was said from behind me. I quickly turned around ready to attack anyone who would be threatening. There stood the boy from the van earlier today, he was wearing the same thing I was too. He smiled at me and entered my room observing.

"What do you want" I didn't mean to sound rude but I didn't like people snooping in without my permission. I kept my eyes firmly on him as he walked to my bed and sat on it.

"I saw you earlier today. I wanted to say hi" he didn't seem affected by anything, he looked comfortable as if this was something he do every time.

"Hi. Now get out" I pointed my finger towards my door. I don't care if he's being friendly or not. I don't get along with people my age, especially if they're in here. I rather keep to myself and try to survive this hell hole.

"Oh okay..." He frowned as he got up "if you ever need anything don't bother to hesitate. I just wanted to make a friend at least. My room is 242. Sorry for bothering you" he turned around and left my room. I started to feel bad and was about to go apologize when suddenly all the lights soon turned red and a loud bell was heard making me cover my ears trying to block the sound out.

I didn't know what was going on. I wasn't sure what this meant, if this was their way saying to go to bed or if we were on lock down, whatever it was it was frightening. I heard loud footsteps running down the hallway. Several nurses ran passed by fallowed by a guard.

"Close your doors and don't open it until the sirens go off do you hear me?!" A nurse popped in looking frighten.

"What's going on! What's out there?!" I screamed as loud as I could. Just seeing her with wide eyes already made me think the worse. Maybe this building was catching on fire, or some dangerous patient is on the lose ready to kill the first person it sees.

"Just lock the door now!" She left without explaining and headed where the commotion was heard. I quickly moved to my door and was ready to close it when I heard a high pitch scream. I couldn't help but look outside my bedroom only to see a girl holding a piece of glass on her hand. She looked mad, crazy and ready to attack. Nurses were trying to convince her to set the sharp glass down, others tried to get close to her.

"GET AWAY! YOU'RE NOT TAKING ME! I WONT LET YOU. HE CANT TAKE MY SOUL I'LL KILL HIM FIRST AND EVERYONE HERE BEFORE HE DOES!" she shouted in fury.

I couldn't see her properly, the lights were still red, but I knew she had fuzzy hair, wore no shoes, and had a gown on. She had some scars on her face and arms. She looked like the exorcist. For a split second we made eye contact and it sent chills down my spine. Her eyes were wide, she was looking straight at me with amusement. I was scared for my life, she smiled evilly at me before she was attacked on the floor by the nurses.

I got inside and locked my door. My heart was pounding so quickly I thought I would have a heart attack. I couldn't believe what I just witnessed, I'm stuck with people like this? I made sure my door was locked again just in case and got under my covers. I should have listened to the nurse and locked my door instead of being an idiot and looking outside. What if she gets lose again? What if she comes after me? I couldn't shake that image out of my head. The way she looked at me, she seemed convinced to see something there.

I pulled the sheets over my head and curled into a ball covering my ears once again. The window wasn't helping since the moon wasn't out to shine my room a bit. Everything was dark and red. I just need to find a way to survive...
