After hours of Ben driving and listening to his music, he finally stopped a few blocks away from the guard house.
Ben exhaled, relieved to finally reach our destination and looked at me, "Ready?" He asked, grabbing his wig and black facemask shoving it inside his jacket.
Doing the same, I replied "Ready" and exited the car.
I went to the backseat and sling my backpack on my shoulder and looked at Ben again, "Remember my signal, 'kay?" I informed.
Ben nodded, "Yeah, I'll be waiting for your text" he said making me nod.
"Okay, good luck" I whispered with a serious face, closing the car door I wave him goodbye with a smile "Good bye Dad! Love you!" I acted being cheerful gripping the strap of my bag like a school girl for random strangers passing by to hear.
Ben snickered for knowing the obvious that I was acting and wave at me and left. As i continued to walk to the guard house, I scanned my surrounding. There are no one so I think its safe to continue the plan. I went to a very dark area of the place and pulled out the wig from the inside of my jacket and put it on and kneel down the dirty pavement and placed my bag for support and went and grab my gloves and facemask. And then I put the can of sleeping gas on the inside of my jacket for easy access and continued on.

Arriving to the gate of James's subdivision, I took a quick photo of the guard house then, I stealthily ran to the guard house and looked inside only to know that my predictions were right that the guard, as usual, is asleep. So Since its just a small guard house with a glass door and windows for the other people who live here have an easy access to the guard, it will be a piece of cake to release the gas I brought and it will live no trace after releasing the gas.
I slowly checked if the glass door was unlocked, and it was (why is everything in my side today?) and I slowly unlocked the door and pulled out the can of halothane and went near to the snoring guard and released the gas to his nose. I prepared myself for the possible reaction of the guard but there is none.
After a minute for letting the halothane takes place, I poked his cheek with my gloved finger and he didnt do nothing. I tapped him a lot more now and he still didnt move so my guess is that the drug worked perfectly and he will be sleeping for quite some time.
I looked around his desk and found nothing significant to our plan so I looked further then I looked up, I noticed a cabinet with a label written on it saying 'Keys' and I smiled through the mask and went to it.
I opened the small cabinet to reveal almost millions of keys.
"Shit" I muttered and think for a seconds. Do i have to get the key of the front door of his house or just act it all out? The thing is that I'm too impatient to find the actual key, so I'm just going to stick to the plan.
Closing the cabinet door, I pulled out my phone and sent Ben an emoji and went outside.
It's currently 3 am and I'm sure that James is still awake so this plan is going to be flawless.
A minute passed and I heard an engine coming so I looked which car it was and it was Ben's. Ben poke his masked face out and nodded at me, I then went and opened the bar that's blocking the entrance.
He entered and I immediately entered the vehicle and went to James' house address.
Finally.
"Did the drug worked?" Ben asked, calmly driving from house to house.
I leaned back and relaxed my tense shoulders, "Of course it did" I answered.
I heard Ben chuckling and I just breath in this one minute of peace and silence before it goes down to shit again.
After turning a left, I spotted James' house so I informed Ben that we're here so he drove a little farther from James' house and then we got off with our duffel bags.
"Thank god there are only few people here in this area" Ben muttered while we walked to James house. I stayed silent because Im too focused on these heavy bags that I was carrying making me groan from the feeling of strain.
I guess Ben noticed me struggling because he went and grab the biggest bag that I was carrying (we are currently carrying 2 fully loaded duffle bags each while I have an extra backpack with a little bit of weight in it) and I thanked him for it.
Finally reaching his house, my throat suddenly felt dry. How?
I forgot to drink water earlier.
"Damn it," I said with strained voice.
"What? What's wrong? Did we miss one step in our plan?" Ben asked with panic facing me.
I glared on the concrete and shook my head, "I forgot to drink water" I said.
For some reason, this made him silently laugh and I looked at him with a questioned look.
"What?" I asked in a hushed voice
"I thought we fucked up our plan, princess. You scared me a little," He said and looked ahead again, "shall we continue princess?"
Looking away from him and into my victim's house, I nodded in determination.
"We shall"
